About this listen

Ghost, a young Criminal Guild thief, is ordered to rob an ancient crypt of a long-dead Duke. He is caught grave robbing by an undead insane Mage with a twisted sense of humor. The Mage burns a set of rune-engraved rings into Ghost's hand and fingers. Unknown to Ghost, these rings allow him to manipulate the four elements.

Returning to the Guild to report his failure, everyone thinks he has riches from the crypt, and they want it. While being held captive by the Criminal Guild, Ghost meets Prince Kade, the fourth son of the King, who has troubles of his own. Ghost uses his newfound powers to escape from the Guild, saving the Prince in the process.

Spies from a foreign kingdom are trying to kill Prince Kade, and Ghost must keep them both alive, while helping Prince Kade raise an army to stop an invasion. Ghost finds out trust too soon given is unwise and dangerous. He is learning people will do anything for gold and power. As Ghost's power grows, his enemies learn he is a far more deadly enemy than anything they have ever faced.

All of James Haddock's mage books make understand

ing the people that went to blockbuster movies, again and again and again. The only thing wrong is they're too short, they leave me craving more and more. Ten stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Quick Romp single story with an OP mage.

If you like characters overpowering through obstacles with no challenge at all then this is the story. After it gets going he's confident and had the power to back it.

Although there could be another story it really seemed like this was meant to be a one shot.

good story

a few complain about haddocks stories not being realistic and simplistic. but I think some books should be enjoyed at the surface level. the mc is op and that's fine. his powers let him do all he wants, what person who wants magic doesn't wish for that kind of magic. give the story a shot it's euly fun

Another Great Read!

me and my kids are working our way through all of James’s books. And their reeds that adults would enjoy but they’re safe and entertaining for kids also.

Good story, details not fleshed out

Fairly simplistic telling of this story. Idea is good and worth a listen . Performance is sometimes difficult to understand . It is entertaining. Don’t expect brilliance but enjoyable.

If you like One you like all

An OP Mage doing what he wants. This isn't a grand adventure novel. A guy get OP magic abilities that can do just about anything and it's his story on what he does with it.
