About this listen

Contains books one and two of the Dragontiarna series.

Knights, book one

Ridmark Arban has defeated both the mighty Frostborn and the evil of the Seven Swords, and now he only wishes to live quietly with his family. But Ridmark's oldest enemy, the Warden of Urd Morlemoch, has not forgotten him.

And the Warden knows a dangerous secret. For the dragons are returning....

Thieves, book two

Ridmark Arban defended the town of Castarium from dark forces, but the Warden of Urd Morlemoch has other servants.

Now, a sinister cult is stirring in the great city of Cintarra, corrupting the lords of the realm as it searches for lost relics in ancient ruins. And if the cult finds what it seeks, worlds beyond count will burn....

Moeller and Brand capture the spirit of adventure and epic heroism in this series. There are many ideas about magic, good/evil, knights and thieves, prophecies, etc that have been seen before, and some of the exposition sounds like a Dungeon Master explaining the rules, but the old ideas and the original story all fits together in an iconic swords-and-sorcery adventure. I like Moeller’s Child of the Ghosts series books a bit better, but this book was definitely worth the credit. Maybe even worth two credits.

Adventurer’s Delight

Maybe see about working both narrator's at the same time if possible especially if its between man and women.

to the next series. so I haven't commented on this befor but the reader of all of these series frost born seven sword and this one make me laugh out loud sometimes when he miss reads a word. it happened once and a while. now it's a game to me to find the parts that the reader doesn't read correctly. sometimes it's really funny.

amazing books the whole storyline from one series

Still turning rouges/enemies into allies in each book, but enjoyable storytelling as always. Enjoy!

More solid storytelling from Moeller

I love it but really hope there is not anymore Lord's name in vain. The Author and Narrator are among my top 😁3.

Immersed immediately!

This book was an enjoyable listen but the character develop was somewhat shallow. The primary characters are rarely challenged but I’ll be interred to see how it is moving forward.

Enjoyed the book but a little simply

I liked the originality of the story and the characters/character development. I wished that it wasn't written with each chapter switching between the main storylines.

Enjoyable

The story is amazing. The references made and the lore throughout it very captivating to me. The only qualm I have is that there are a lot of names thrown around in the beginning and it makes it feel as though I’m missing so much context. But as the story develops it gets better .

Really good

I will start off by saying that I am enjoying the characters, the story line, the “mythology” of the world and the physical descriptions of the appearances of the characters as well as the settings where the action takes place.

Th difficulty I am having is the writers over use of one particular word. I think it is a combination of the use of this word, plus the way that the narrator says it.

The word is “said”. I think that the writer could have used many other synonyms that would have brought more depth to the scenes where lengthy conversations take place.

When listening to a long passage that is a conversation between two or more characters it becomes very tedious to have every sentence either preceded or followed with “John said” I don’t feel like the story flows as well with all the abrupt pauses after saying the word.

Possibly this would not bother me as much if I was reading it rather than listening. When reading, I find myself embellishing with other words for “said”

There are so many interesting words that will update work and make the descriptions of conversations. For example: exclaimed, cried, shouted, whispered, replied, commented. This is the reason that a Thesaurus exists!

I have been trying hard to finish this but…..
