Publisher's summary

[I was reborn too weak to become an adventurer, so I opened an item shop by the dungeon instead!] [Book 3]

Having been forced to abandon their home in the cold, western mountains, Fresh and her friends make a bid to move across the nation in their desperate search for a place where they can live in peace together. This drives them towards the distant east, to the dry, harsh desert and the ocean city—the nation’s most thriving port of call.

Once more, they are forced to reopen the Dungeon Item Shop, learning from the lessons of the past and learning to live with one another as a very unusual yet functional family. Between the brand new dungeon, the city in the desert, and a familiar face from the past, all of which present new dangers, a real threat slowly festers, bubbling to the surface as the patron entity that has granted Fresh her powers as a witch begins to finally make its moves, its rationale and desires coming to the forefront and placing all of their lives in terrible danger.

Fresh, determined to do whatever she can to keep her new way of life safe from anyone and anything that would threaten it, dives deeply into her obsessions as she works day and night to manage not only her and her friends' new life together as a family but to find a way out of this situation that she has brought them into for all of them—together. The true hero arrives in the world in the central city, predestined to destroy her and everything she holds dear to her heart.

Life may yet seem more peaceful than ever on the surface now that they’re far away from the troubles of the past and living near the sunny ocean, but is there ever really an escape when they themselves carry the true problem of their situation within themselves or when the past seems closer than one thinks—living just down the street in the local adventurers’ guild?

I'm not sure that I follow...

feels a little sloppy in places, but overall I like it. Now explain how the slime was at a church as an orphan or if it was a cover story, or is the slime thing a curse or something. also is it the southern part of the continent turning to black water or the world completely to the south. There is not enough description in this story on some items and some plot holes I expect will come to make sense. Over all, good story, good characters, and an interesting world.

I would rather obliterate myself...

First off, I'll like to state Im completely and utterly diametrically/ if not ideologically oppose to the underlying fundamentals this story is trying to convey. Although I did overall enjoyed fresh's journey, growth, discoveries and eventual revelations. But that said, I can not vibe with the thought of returning to a time where we're living in constant fear and abject terror of our environment. Even if returning to this period might actual be the best course to achieve some kind of "great good". No, I would rather die and have my soul obliterated then to suffer a single millimeter of movement toward such a time where we suffered such unceasing endless darkness.

yucky

it started getting yuckier at some point, but I'm really not sure. I think the ending can save it, so I hope it ends well.

nope. nope nope nope

This book started out as a 3 star but was willing to read to continue the series. It became a 2 star after an excessive amount of chapters that didn't add to the story in any way, repeating the same information over and over again is not good story telling. Ended as a 1 star because I can't tell if the author realizes how many plot holes and issues they created. to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the next book starts off with explaining that the previous five chapters were all just a dream sequence. I can think of at least two major contradictions in their story in the same chapter.
