Enjoyable Story

Female narrator often demonstrates a Shatner style of narration but the story was good enough that you could soon forget. The story is about a girl who wins the lottery, find out she has cancer and decides to go on a trip of a lifetime. It had it's predictable moments but overall it was a good read and not super heavy on the romance.

If you are someone who struggles to stay engaged in a book, this story might be one that makes you look forward to reading again or enjoying the audio to hear what happens next. The story kept my mind engaged and was easy to visualize and follow along with. I'd definitely listen again down the line and I've already recommended it to a friend.

Best Ever

I must say I now understand what people were saying about this book being so awesome. I was a little afraid to start this book for a number of reasons, however I am glad I finally read it. I definitely saved the best for last. Rich Amooi has an amazing gift for story telling and his talent for unpredictability is why he is one of my favorite authors. Every time I think I know whats going to happen, he surprises me by going a different direction, making the twists and turns even better than I would have thought possible. I also love that he gave everyone a happy ending in this book. The narrators were amazing but how could they not be with such great materials to work with.

Unique story

I kinda loved the story. The premise was fresh, I never read about a woman finding love during completely her bucket list. The chemistry between the two characters was strong and romantic. I love the idea that this was love found later in life. Gives hope to all possibilities out there.

The only draw back was the female narrator. I am not a fanStephanie Rose. Her main characters all sound haute and it makes me want to not Luke them. Her deliver is stilted too. Aside from that it is a fun, flirty, heartfelt book.

Funny romantic comedy

Loved the book and the narrators. When I tell people the premise of the book, that you win the lottery and then find out that your dying they don’t understand how it can be a comedy. But this book was fun. My husband and I listened to it on a recent road trip. The end was a bit predictable but I enjoyed the story so much that I can live with it.

Wonderful, heartwarming story

The story was wonderful, and the narrators nailed it. I like that this is not a traditional romance novel, but one that really touches your heart.

Big WIN for me!

My ‘go to’ for Contemporary RomCom is author Rich Amooi. I first came across this author when I listened to Kissing Frogs. Performed by Ryan Kennard Burke. I loved it!

Dying to Meet You starts off with Liz Parker winning the lottery. She sets off to see as much of the world in 3 weeks. When she hires hunky private airline pilot, Adam the adventure of a lifetime begins.

As the publisher’s summary states, Liz also finds out that she has a rare disease and needs a bone marrow donor in order to have a real chance at living beyond the next 3 months. Rich Amooi packs plenty of giggles and beautiful scenery to make you just want to sit by a campfire and listen to Tim Paige and Stephanie Rose perform as you are swept up in the story.

I really really enjoyed Tim Paige’s performance. All of the audiobooks I’ve listened to so far have a certain male voice and Tim Paige was a perfect match. Stephanie’s performance was good. At times, she fell into an odd narrating rhythm, it's hard to explain, just something I would notice now and then. It didn’t stop me from giving this audiobook full 5 star rating! I thought the dual narration complimented each narrator.

Fun adventure

I enjoyed the whole story line and felt I was along with the journey. At first I was leery of reading a romance book written by a male. I am so glad I gave it a try. I was quite pleased with it.
