About this listen

She’s the last of her kind, the lone survivor of genocide. But Aleena doesn’t know she’s slept for 10,000 years.

The Urlowens eradicated the Elven population on Earth. Now, they’ve returned to subdue the human race. While Ethan scrambles to help a crumbling resistance and cultivate a relationship with his childhood crush, he’s plagued by unexplainable premonitions leading to an ancient stasis chamber and a discovery beyond his wildest dreams. Ethan must adapt to his new understanding of the world and of his enemies. Magic is real.

But even with help, is defeat inevitable? After all, it’s not the first time the Urlowens have visited Earth.

Earthborn Awakening is the first book in the Earthborn Legacy series. If you like magic, advanced technology, pause-resisting suspense, fast-paced action, and romance, then this audiobook is for you. Get ready to listen late into the night because you won’t be able to stop listening.

Fun new series

Fun new series involving the occupation of earth. I liked the author's ability to mix science and magic to give us something new and different. The characters were strong and unique, and I enjoyed watching them interact and discover what was important to them. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great Literature? No. Enjoyable story? Yes.

Set some time in the not too distant future, long lost magic, and elves, meets humanity on an Earth under siege from the first aliens encountered by humans as they begin to expand into space. The story is 3rd person and covers several characters from both sides of the war.
Overall the story was enjoyable and while not exactly predictable it wasn't anything new either. There were a few areas where the writing was a bit awkward and rushed though overall the story flowed well enough. I believe the author will get better with time. Theo Copeland did a decent job narrating and I would listen to other books narrated by him. A word of caution if you're listening in areas of above average background noise: Theo has a deeper, more resonant voice that tends to blend into the surrounding noise and can be a bit harder to understand at times. I enjoyed it enough that I will get the next book to see where the story goes.

Good, but..

Good story and characters, but Theo Copeland's cadence was not so good. And every time he pronounced 'clothes' like 'cloaths' was brutal. characters were barely differentiated by voice. Hard to get past as an Audible listener. might read the rest of the series, but won't listen and I am an Audible diehard.

surprisingly entertaining

I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. It has an amazing story line from beginning to end. You not only get the story within but a great back story that explains why things are happening in the book. The ending of the book also tied up nicely leading you to want to instantly read the next. Great book and would recomend for all whom like fantasy story books!

nice start

slow reader. maybe add different tones next time. also mask some of ur secondary plots to hide some minor antagonists.

Could have been good

Thesis is good but to slow to develop so I don’t even finish it. Wish it had been better

Couldn’t get too far in!

I didn’t get to listen for long, the narrator’s speech and tone inflection was awful! Instead of using natural emphasis on words, they had this “Rhythmic, repetitive” emphasis on the dialog that drove me nuts because it sounded so unnatural.
