Ascending should have been the easy part.

But after being thrown into the void, Thorn finds himself stranded in a strange world filled with even stranger creatures.

Together with his cute battle pet, the mysterious god beast Hati, and a sentient AI named Eve, Thorn must forge a place for himself in this new world. Unfortunately, the local guilds all have other ideas, and soon the Titan finds himself embroiled in plots that even his famed strength cannot help him with.

Rallying his strengths and learning how to fix his weaknesses will be the absolute minimum Thorn needs to survive, but if he wants to thrive he’ll be forced to take risks that put his life—and the lives of his friends—on the line.

Forgemaster is the first book in the Tower Series, a GameLit/LitRPG series from Seth Ring, bestselling author of Battle Mage Farmer series and the Titan series. It is set in world of Nova Terra and starring the unforgettable Thorn, and if you like immersive storytelling, rich fantasy, and epic adventures with a slice of friendship thrown in, you’ll love this thrilling series.

Listen to Forgemaster and escape to the grand world of epic adventure. Endless worlds await!

don't get me wrong the writing and narration was top notch. both of them are masters of their craft. my issue is how weak thorn is. it's even brought up in the story like 10 times when thorn is talking to himself. "I'm so weak, I have to get stronger". also it's total bull that thorn doesn't get stronger after killing enemies, he only gets stronger by blacksmithing. It just gets under your skin because the mc is interesting and very likable but he can't cross the street without getting his ass kicked. overall I honestly did not like this story but I will give the second book a chance just in case the author decides to do away with the mountain of plot armor and miracles and actually give the mc power of his own but if this trend continues I will be dropping this series

kinda disappointed

After listening to the precursor series, I am H
happy to see the adventure continue. The author is doing a great job dealing with the ever-growing power levels and setting the stage for future growth.

Excellent follow on series

This title says book 1, but it is really a continuation of multiple previous books in another series. By the title, you could be forgiven for thinking it was about crafting. But it is moslty about dungeon diving in a pvp world where the protagonist is underpowered and should have been dead at least four times in the story but survives anyway. It was a fun listen, but a dark world where there are no allies. I don't think I'll be reading more.

plopped into the middle of a series

I was really pleased to find out about the Tower series! After the Nova Terra I thought I had said goodbye to Thorn not knowing about the whole Tower series.
It did take me a while to get into this series. There is something about the inflection of his voice that even now kinda bothers me. But I have gotten used to it and the story and characters make it worth the adjustment.
I think the Tower series is going to be great! Off to a wonderful start! I am on to book 2!

It’s far from over!
