Publisher's summary

Their destinies are irrevocably entangled, but will their bond be the realm’s undoing?

Damien and Amma have landed themselves in the midst of Yvlcon, the preeminent congregation of the vilest and most unscrupulous villains in existence. Once again amongst his peers, Damien’s moral growth is threatened just when he’s learning to be slightly less evil. Consequently, Amma finds her own virtue in peril when faced with so much temptation, namely in the form of a domineering blood mage she can’t—or doesn’t want—to say no to.

But a burgeoning romance is doused in the coldest of baths when the Grand Order of Dread commands Damien to once again face the swirling vortex of entropy that’s been hunting them all over the realm. The coming eclipse points to devastation and destruction, and there seems to be no avoiding annihilation, prophecy being, well, prophecy, after all.

But there’s an entire fortnight before the world is supposed to end, and surely that’s enough time to find some way around it, or to at least confess one’s devotion to the other before it all burns down around them.

Loved!

I absolutely adored this conclusion—it tied up all the loose ends perfectly!

This might become my new go-to comfort read.

This series was EVERYTHING!

I am heartbroken that this series is over and already counting down the days until it’s faded in my mind enough to do re-listen. The romance never overpowers the story, and yet I have to say that Amma and Damien are now one of my favorite love stories of all time! Although the description of the first book of the series makes it sound a little tropey, it is not that way at all. This story is fresh and original and hilarious and deeply moving. The way that the author found a way to have you gripping the edge of your seat for the last 25% of each book and all the incredible characters you get to meet along the way! Oh my! And the character growth is just fantastic! I am a very picky reader with high standards and I just can NOT recommend this series enough! Absolutely splendid! Now I am just heartbroken that the two spinoff books aren’t available on audio! Common Audible!

Must read. I will be rereading and relistening this series forever.

This book is absolutely incredible. Everything I ever wanted from a fantasy book and romance and more. I can’t believe the books actually got better and better. I’m so sad it’s ending.

The audio is perfect. Every voice and style and cadence. It’s actually more fun to listen to than read and that doesn’t happen often.

Amazing story. Performance was so good. I’ve already recommended the audiobook to all my friends (I say this like it isn’t just 2 people).

Conclusion

This was the last book in a trilogy about Damien, a son of a demon, and Amma, the sunshine to his cloudy day. I loved the banter between the characters, even the side characters, and the way that the story unfolded. Character development was exquisite, and the situations that both found themselves in were really helpful in moving the plot forward and adding some distress/action. I would highly recommend this series as the writing is done in a way that will have you cackling out loud. Also, the Audible version is to die for!

The romantasy I’ve been looking for

You know that scene in New Girl where Nick and Jess meet Princess? That was me throughout the entire series. I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s all I got. I truly love this series, the banter, the jokes—GOoD and BAD. And though the amount of times the characters clicked their tongues had me worried for a minute, I’m just going to turn it into a drinking game for my next read.
