Deep in Kentucky lake country, Wire hid behind an empty cabin in the pitch black night. She quickly realized she wasn't the only person carefully observing the secret late night meeting with night vision goggles when gun shots rang out... Ruthless killers...grizzly deaths...escalating stakes... A clandestine late night meeting in Kentucky, a murder in a seedy St. Paul motel, a mysterious investigator operating in the shadows and dueling political masterminds all collide to provide Mac McRyan with the ultimate test in Electing To Murder.
NYT and USA Today best-selling author, Roger Stelljes, delivers an action packed story that is the 4th book in the McRyan Mystery Series. Stelljes' vivid characters, his gift for gritty and real behind the scenes dialog as well as his uncanny sense of place and time, will put you in the middle of the action allowing you to feel the desperation of Mac McRyan and his fellow detectives. ©3/1/2013 Roger Stelljes (P)2014 Roger StelljesListeners also enjoyed...

Was fun to read a book by an author slamming the right 7 years before the left did what the author claimed the right was doing.
But hey, it’s fiction, so it was a good read.
Steljes needs to hire someone who can help him with weapons and weapon related terminology.
A left leaning book, aimed at the evil republicans for altering voting machines

This plot was far-fetched (St Paul cop and fired FBI agent involved in a presidential race). But still a fun read.
Look forward to the next in a few months.
Narration was fine, although I had difficulty remembering what voice went with which character.

Would you listen to Electing To Murder again? Why?
I don't generally read or listen to books more than once. This one was very good though so I might consider it.What other book might you compare Electing To Murder to and why?
Might be a mix between a Dan Brown book where there is a lot of action and a Grisham book for the story. What does Johnny Peppers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Peppers does excellent voices for the characters. He has a calming, smooth voice as the narrator. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I spent hours at a time listening and waiting for the time I could listen again.Any additional comments?
Stelljes is a very good writer and Peppers bring his characters to life. A great partnership and I can't wait for the next one.Excellent

I am not listening to the 5th and most recent book in the McRyan mystery series and the partisan politics are not there, This is a wonderful series and the narration is also outstanding.
Why bring partisan politics into the story?
