Publisher's summary

Meeting a dark Elf was unexpected. Kuro offered unconditional servitude in exchange for being saved, and Gothy was determined to make the most of it.

Kuro had a single request: to warn the Queen that the King had broken their pact. Alvin agreed to take her to her world to report, wondering if it would be as easy as it sounded. Meanwhile, Kuro held up her end of the bargain, doing everything Gothy asked of her.

Driving through the Svargax Gate, what they saw before them was not what any of them expected: two armies at war with each other, one composed of the dark Queen’s Elves, the other of the light King’s Elves.

Feeling his simple plan go out the window, Alvin decided to find out if the King’s Elves could be reasoned with. Realizing it would be more difficult than he thought, Alvin wondered if he could reach some sort of accord with either side.

Just keeps getting better and better

Apocalypse Gates has been an awesome series from the very beginning, and it continues to deliver! Tess Irondale narration continues to be excellent.

I am still enjoying it

I still have to say that andrea was a better narrator than tess, with I get confused with the voices sometimes I don't know how is talking.

the work that Daniel has done is super enjoyable and his sex scenes are way better that his other books, sadly his neglect to add anal and just say they did it and that's it but I can't give him less than 5 stars for the choice of narrator and lack of anal sex.

good

after the last book I almost walked away from the series completely. Not because it wasn't a good book overall but because there were a number of scenes that I hated so very much. if you're reading this and you've read that one you can probably figure out on your own what my to set me off. with that said I'm reading the series because I like the other things author has written and have been working my way back in time. I don't think I will read his very first series but it's clear to me that the guy has gotten way better as time has passed. I figure this serious might have started off a little rough and gotten better with time and now that I have taken a brief pause and come back and picked up this book I think I just might hold true for this series as well. I always try and mention the narrator's in the comments I leave after finishing the book. the lady who's narrating for this book is top-notch at her profession. everything of hers that I listen to has been amazing and I've also noticed on the rare occasions where I follow along in the ebook that she adds little extras that improve the overall story.

i seen some reviews, saying filler

and yea, there right, but the story needed filler time. i loved it, the charachters messed (probably spellled that wrong).
its sexy, interesting and shows how everyone is getting together.

Need more gates!

No spoilers. It took me a bit to get used to Tess being the narrator after the first two books, but after the 3rd book, this one was easier to listen to as I was getting accustom to Tess' Hero. She does a great job with the performance.

The story, to me, felt a little short. Just as I was getting really into the book, it was over. I've come to really enjoy Daniel's writing and devour both this series and Alpha World as soon as they are released, so it may just be an issue with me. I did enjoy the story and look forward to the rest of the gates opening.

Great story, but the series hasn’t been the same.

Love the books, and Irondale’s narration is far from sub par, but I just don’t feel as much of a connection the the characters since Andrea’s departure as the narrator.
