About this listen

When the Russian Army invading northern Poland threatens to quickly overwhelm Warsaw, a lone Company of American Abrams tanks and a unit of Irish infantry are sent forward to the small village of Stare Lubiejewo and given an impossible mission: hold back the advancing Russian Army at all costs.

Overwhelmed by enemy tanks and APCs, the American tankers and the Irish infantry heroically fight off one determined assault after another until it seems they must surely be overrun. But the American and Irish fighting in the bomb-ravaged village have one last desperate plan up their sleeve. If it works, it might just buy the time the Allies need to reinforce and save the threatened Polish capital.

Really enjoyed this book as it focused on a real world World War III situation. The description of the equipment use was relatively accurate. Enjoyed the book and the plot very much and only have one minor issue with the storytelling how the voice would change when certain words had to be added.

Action start to finish

I’ve read 2 of these on Kindle and started this one before the Audiobook came out, I decided to listen to this one. The narrator knows the military terms and the story is as gritty and realistic as it gets. Ryan obviously has a grasp on sound military tactics and equipment and I think this series is better than anything by Halstead or the Battleground series.

Nick Ryan’s WW3 is great.

Like the previous Nick Ryan novels this one starts off full of action and winds down full of action with very few breaks in the middle. It is a quick listen that makes the time fly. It is full of military details well narrated.

Another rip roaring fast paced action packed book!

I was a m60a1 tank driver and scout on the German/Czech border during the Cold War so this book has a lot of meaning for me.

Great characters and action

The guy who said he was a tanker for 20 years. No, he wasn't. The story leans heavily on the main character being a big hero Army tanker in Afghanistan. Problem. The Army had no tanks in Afghanistan. The Marines had 17 for a short period beginning in 2010. If your writing a book about tanks then please do some research into tactics, capabilities, training, fire commands, etc. And yes, I was a tanker. M60A3, M1, M1IP, M1A1.
Also the dialogue is just stupid. This guy watched way to many war movies. If you want a good book about WWIII read Team Yankee by Harold Coyle. It's available on this platform.
