Better than the first book

3.5 - almost 4 stars. So much better than the first book.

I liked Mia and Hart from the previous book and I liked them in this. They are not typical Earl and beloved as are normally in this genre of books. The Earl would rather plan a garden than work out the Estate's finances. Mia is a victim of domestic abuse who is rescued by Hart and recovers in his home. They both have secrets - of course - but their story is entertaining and interesting.

I always like an Epilogue and this doesn't have one so I'll have to move on to Tia's story to see how things evolve.

Enjoyable but far fetching

This book was relatively good I just got a little far fetching. Apparently everyone knew but the heroine that the hero was in love with her. And really what a man wait that long for a woman without simply just saying hey I love you let's get married.
Still I enjoyed the story overall it was entertaining and sweet.

Great diversion

I enjoyed the story. My only issue was that the nasty woman at the house party didn't get dealt with. High roads are fun for travel, but sometimes a bully needs consequences.

Good story. Bad narration.

The overall story was good, but I had to speed up the narration to 1.25 to make it sound like normal conversation. The narrator drawls everything and makes everything sound like a seductive voice instead of the normal tones.

Once I speed up the narration, the voice sounded normal.
