This book is a 5 out of 10

Would you recommend Eternal Captive to your friends? Why or why not?

I premise is awesome, the rambling is a little tough to get through, We strat forward with the story, then back up and rehash.

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Tavia's voice is the reason I'm listening to this series

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Brownly is a real woman...I liked the way she thinks

Nice sexual tension

This story is more like a 3.75. It's HOT, so it's only for those, like myself, who don't mind explicit language. Though it's not chock full of sex scenes, nor or they gratuitous or repetitive, IMO. The sex scenes are also sensual and not just raw. So there's a level of romance that's yummy. Another good aspect of the book is it's thoroughness and depth within the storyline, which created a significant degree of realism and logic in this paranormal tale. Also, though I've listened to other books in this series, I don't think it's necessary to in order to enjoy this book. The narrator did a good job, especially with the British & Scottish accents, but there was little difference among the male voices and among the female voices. Still, it didn't detract from the story. It's just that the story was good but not memorable. You are left with a bit of a cliffhanger to spur us to get the next story, but you do know what happens in the end to the main characters in this story. So that's good.

Good but not Great

So far, this is my favorite book of the series. I love the struggle and strong emotions going on in this book. Very steamy as well!! Tavia Gilbert does a fantastic job narrating & I love how Lucian's accent changes. Can't wait to start the next book!

Best one yet!

Would you consider the audio edition of Eternal Captive to be better than the print version?

Yet another good book! I haven't been able to put them down! This book kept me wanting to know more and more and I ended up staying up til like 3 in the morning til the book was done! I have only been like this with 2 other series... one was Twilight and one was Fifty Shades of Gray! It has made my collection of books! It's easy to follow and the Narrator is one of my FAVES!

My Oh My!

Love the way these 2 were so feisty together and the chemistry is off the charts hot! Well, Lucian made it hot! So much better than books one and two (didn't like book 2!!) and although I was a bit worried where the author was going to take this, I was relieved and grateful she didn't take it too dark. They were faithful to each other to the end and might I say......what an ending!!! I actually got teary eyed. Kinda wished tho that there was more about the 1st time Lucian met his baby girl. Definitely more sex in this one than the 1st two but wow....juat wow! There is also about 5 different POV's which irritate and bore me but still throughly loved Lucian and his "princess" POV best. Of course, this narrator is my favorite. She nails it on the men voices as well as accents from French to the island of Scotland!!

Better than the 1st two books!

Ok, this series is crazy. I’m so glad I found it and didn’t think any of them would compare to the first, but this one was so raw and at times painful to listen to. The emotion was at times too much for me and I had to take a break. It was really good though. I know I will listen to this series again once I’m done. Hopefully Grey and D’s story is just as good.

Wow

The series explores the lives of the Roman brothers, how they find/secure their life mates, and combat "the order" and the evil Cruen. The first installment, Eternal Hunger, was fairly well-developed and entertaining. The story line puts an interesting twist on the many paranormal romance stories out there.

The romantic story in Eternal Hunger (Book 1) and Eternal Kiss (Book 2) are tantalizing, but both books pale in comparison to Eternal Captive (Book 3). The chemistry and 'scenes' between Bronwyn and Lucian are so well described and beguiling that it'll draw you back to re-read/listen. Found the unexpected language quite alluring!

Gilbert acts the story out quite well. Found Eternal Beast (Book 4) to be my least favorite to date.

Definitely Best in the Series... Won't disappoint!
