About this listen

The stakes have never been higher as the Twisted Sisters struggle to dish up enough magic to save themselves and their beloved Crescent City....

While the Voodoo Queen's loa roams the bayous in search of a new host, the sisters must hunt down the six sources of his power to keep him from ghosting the body he currently inhabits. But the manhunt quickly goes awry and places the sisters and their families in some cruel and cursed crosshairs. For extra protection from Marie Leveau and her magical minions, the sisters form their most unexpected alliance yet with an enterprising djinn.

Bolstered by their boosted defenses, the sisters lead the charge to create a new council for the paranormals of New Orleans. With their powers combined, the committee can stop Marie Leveau from ever terrorizing the city again. But first, they must stop her and the loa or the consequences will be dire. The sisters' lives are on the line, and this uphill battle to dethrone the Voodoo Queen could scorch the entire city.

Another great addition

Brenda Trim has done it again with this latest installment in the Twisted Sisters Midlife Maelstrom series. All the characters we’ve known are present and some new ones are included.
Naomi Rose-Mock gave a strong performance as she breathed life into the storylines and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I look forward for the next in this wonderful series.

I love the twisted sisters! I'm addicted now

I got into this series because I was looking for my next listen as I'd caught up on the Accidental series by Dakota Cassidy. This Twisted Sisters Midlife Maelstrom popped up as a suggestion and it was a great price.
Brenda Trim is amazing as how she is able to write for 6 different characters. I mean WOW!
I do get thrown off by the 'tallboy' drink because it's usually a beer. I can't recall which sister drinks it but she used to add the Pepsi to it and that made it easier to not think she drinking beer all day. lol!!!
The narrator Naomi Rose-Mock is not very good. She doesn't have a range of voices at all, she just sounds like she's reading a book. Not exciting at all. I wish Jessica Almasy or Angel Clark was the narrator but oh well.
All in all, this is a wonderful series and this one (book 6) is really fantastic!
The sister are getting stronger in their magic and fighting to keep out the loa (sp?) from our realm is really a great ride!!

Not as interesting....

These are becoming predicable. Seems the same badies are always there, the shifters always seem to save them from themselves. After six books I still can't distinguish between the six sisters. It is interesting to see how their magic is changing, but you'd think by now they'd kinda be used to these changes and have some kind of grasp on what they can do and how.
