I hope this series will keep going I have read and listen up to book three and I love them all. I do not know about the manga but the light novel is a great story .

Fun slice of life isekai.

It reminds me of a fun, slice of life novel with an MC has a dope op ability but not one he is going to kill a demon king with.

Check it out for a break from heavier topics.

Cute, Childish, and Awkward

This one is a bit hard to rate. If you consider it a book for children, then maybe it isn't too bad. Unfortunately, the writing is awkward even when considering translation problems. Characters often do not act or react in any way that makes sense and are also willfully stupid or "forgetful" at times just for plot reasons. The writting is kind of terrible, if I'm honest. However, it is a cute story and the main character, the dog/fenrir, really makes the story. Oh, there is a human main character too, but he is just vanilla pudding. He is supposed to be a grown, working-age man but reads more like a teen at times. He isn't annoying, per se, except when he is written as the dumbest human on Earth who forgets about his cool power, as if it wouldn't be the focus of any normal person's attention. Like I said, terrible writing. Also, if I had to listen to one more meal being described in detail, I might have gone postal. Somehow, though, I still enjoyed it and might even listen to the next book. Go figure.

bark bark

not a bad book I enjoyed it and currently listening to the second one. the most I have for this thought is for the dog parts. I did find it a little annoying to me on the barks for talking for the dog and wish had just made like a mental link between the two

Bork Woof

This was a fun and easygoing listen. It's a sweet little slice-of-life story that made me smile.

Peak SoL Isekai

Five stars because this is everything a slice-of-life Isekai is meant to be.

After finishing both volumes of I'd Rather Have a Cat Than a Harem, I wanted something like this: light and airy, no-stakes good times. I love it when characters who have hard lives on Earth get isekai'd and never know a sad moment again.

Special shout out to the reader, Jonathan Todd Ross. So comfortably listenable.

Aaah, just OK.

The author makes the lead character seem so slow towards the end of the book. He is an adult male, but his dog is faster in her thought processes than he is. I was yelling out loud at him during the next to last chapter. So frustrating! The book was just OK. I hope the next one is better.

it sucks

I want my money back . This reads like it was written for a 3 year old. It is the worst piece of trivial I have ever suffered through.
