2nd listen through

I just hope there is a book 4! Loved these books, there is more that can be done, some loose threads I'd love to see wrapped up. Worth the listen both times

Great story but feels a little rushed

first this is a great story and very well work listening to. really good action not very much low parts the only bad thing I can say about this set is it feels really rushed if they would of added more story between the battles and really extended the battle telling themselves they are really short and kinda 3 hit and done. the biggest reason I cut one star was because the ending was beyond rushed and brief it seemed like it was being set up for a 4th book then at the last second decided to end it story so many things left untold kinda like a tv series that gets canceled with a half ace ending

the crafting and the world building

I dislike the need of making the Mc act as a 2 year old to move the native along do to good guy have no common sense or survival incentives.

not bad

author was oddly inconsistent in when to use a character's voice, and and "female" voices are screechy and very similar.

story and characters were okay though

A great fantasy adventure listen!

The culmination of a great adventure. The first time I had to wait 'forever' between each volume, but now it's all here in one go!

Good

I liked the Omnibus, the story is interesting with the cringey romance injected here and there so it's not overwhelming. I like he different races and will def buy the next Omnibus so I'll probably be waiting a while

OK if you're 12.

This series seems like it was written for children with short attention spans. Characters are good or bad. Leveling is ridiculously quick. It is even too much for the main character to iterate his crafts with gradual improvements in materials and methods, he just has a design skill that does all the work for him.

Many fetch quests. I need ore, I need a rare moon blossom...venture out, fight a beast...my hero.

Every aspect feels rushed, even fights and battles seem perfunctory. The romance is basically given all the depth of a footnote. No attempt to explain why the MC can work in every branch or magic while others can only use one.

Overall, I had low expectations for this omnibus that I bought on sale, and the discovery that my gut feeling was correct turns out to be the highlight of this reading experience.
