not bad

author was oddly inconsistent in when to use a character's voice, and and "female" voices are screechy and very similar.

story and characters were okay though

the crafting and the world building

I dislike the need of making the Mc act as a 2 year old to move the native along do to good guy have no common sense or survival incentives.

Great story but feels a little rushed

first this is a great story and very well work listening to. really good action not very much low parts the only bad thing I can say about this set is it feels really rushed if they would of added more story between the battles and really extended the battle telling themselves they are really short and kinda 3 hit and done. the biggest reason I cut one star was because the ending was beyond rushed and brief it seemed like it was being set up for a 4th book then at the last second decided to end it story so many things left untold kinda like a tv series that gets canceled with a half ace ending

A top-notch series

This is a great book series, well worth your time.

The start, a gamer is calling to his mom to make him some hot pockets. Main Character Noah sees she's passed out from working a double shift, and then suddenly he's on another world in a jungle fighting off killer birds. A mind voice tells him he's an apprentice crafter as birds slash at him.

This has a fast start. Soon, he's found a town ruled by cat people who have humans as servants, but it's possible for the worthy to gain their freedom. There's also a rival town ruled by canines. Meanwhile, Noah is steadily learning new craft skills, and introduces some tech like pulleys and counterweights to improve the town.

Eventually, Dogs and Cats are fighting in well done siege warfare, and that's book one. But there are still two more books. For Book Two, other factions and cities are introduced. All well done, with lots of good characters, politics and crafting.

The two narrators do a phenomenal job with the great material.

Highly recommended.

Great Story

A wonderful 1,2,3 part adventure. There are a couple of recording errors but the story and narration are excellent. Definitely worth a credit.

A great fantasy adventure listen!

The culmination of a great adventure. The first time I had to wait 'forever' between each volume, but now it's all here in one go!
