Publisher's summary

“One of the most spellbinding, profound, beautifully told romances I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, this is the kind of story that stays with you, moves you, changes something in you.” (Natasha Is a Book Junkie)

Headstrong Ruben woos, wins, and walks away from the man he crushed on for a year. Big win? Big mistake. And a second chance is going to cost him.

After months of persuasion, Ruben scores a weekend alone with Henry, the first man he’s ever been attracted to. It’s awesome. Too awesome. Cue the dust cloud.

Cautious Henry, Ruben's former high school history teacher, needs a wake-up call and Ruben appears to be his siren, but when he bolts, Henry struggles to find closure. Henry’s solution seduces Ruben from afar, takes Henry out of reach, and alters thousands of lives.

Now all Ruben wants is for history to repeat itself and give him one more moment with Henry. One moment will do. Ruben will make sure of it.

Named a Top Book of the year in the HEA USA Today column Rainbow Trends.

Stand-alone age-gap literary romance novel. HEA.

Very Deep

Loved this book, but I felt like I was going to crawl out of my skin before the resolution. It was very drawn out. Regardless, I loved both MCs and their journeys to love.

Amazing!

What does Daan Stone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Beautifully narrated!

Any additional comments?

5+ Stars. One of the best books I've read in a long time. I won't go into details (since others have already done the lengthy reviews) so there's no point in rehashing. You'll either love or hate the way this book is crafted. I loved it. Every single page is a joy to read. Gorgeous writing, nothing felt over the top, the dramatic scenes served a purpose, and Henry's intensely emotional story broke my heart several times. Ruben, although young and inexperienced, surprised me in a good way (when he finally got his act together) and the aha moment was worth the long journey. I can't say enough about the feels in this book. Highly recommended.

P.S. This audiobook is beautifully narrated by Daan Stone.

A beautiful heart wrenching but heartwarming story

Where does Everyday History rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's up in the top 20 or so for bittersweet, angsty stories. (I read a lot)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Everyday History?

I love the connection between Ruben and Henry and the apple pie. I don't think I will look at apple pie again without think of this beautiful love story.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Henry reads his notes at the nominee conference, and Ruben is telling his story about his family photos and the space in them. I nearly bawled my eyes out. I could practically see Henry's face when he read what was in his files, his reactions, to that and Ruben all at once. My heart ached for him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A stunningly beautiful romance of coming of age, coming out and getting what you want.

Any additional comments?

I will admit the story started off a bit slow for me.The way each chapter is headed with The Historian, The Explorer then broken down to each one at first hindered me then I found it easier to follow the story. I also liked the short broken up chapters, that kept me interested as well.
Daan Stone has a very dreamy, smooth voice that is quite mesmerizing and charming. He gave the story a very poetic ring.

I will say this is a beautiful romance, with a bittersweet quality to it. Have some tissues on hand.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5* Everlasting Love 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a beautifully written story of finding love when you least expect it and with the last person you would expect it to be with.

Henry is a quiet and reserved history professor who is passionate about his teaching and when he lays eyes on the effervescent and gorgeous high school student Ruben, he feels drawn to him inexplicably. Ruben on the other hand begins the semester surrounded by gorgeous women and having the time of his life. As the year progresses 18-year-old Ruben begins to feel things for Henry that he never thought possible. Added to this is the big age gap of 14 years. When the year is over Ruben and Henry spend an unforgettable weekend together and then part ways as Ruben want to be carefree and have no commitments when he goes to college.

As time passes, Henry’s career takes off but he is unable to forget Ruben and the strong feelings he has for him. Ruben on the other hand is enjoying life, “sowing his wild oats” but that is short lived when he realizes what he had with Henry was nothing like he had ever experienced before and his longing to have that again runs deep.

Finding each other again was a breathtaking and unique journey. I loved this book and will reminisce about it for a long time.
