Publisher's summary

I just need a win - any win. But with him by my side, I know I can't fail.

Fresh off a divorce and retirement from the army, Yves is floundering. He feels stuck, certain that he should have done something by now to distinguish himself. The only thing this chef has left is his devotion to the warm, spicy flavors from his Louisiana childhood. Getting a business loan for his dream restaurant may be an uphill battle, but at least making people happy with his food comes easy...especially when he begins to make friends from the G-MIL support group.

If he wants to feed one hot-headed young soldier in particular, well, that's his business, isn't it?

He makes me feel a little less alone.

Making friends doesn't come easy to Liam. He never had to work at it back home, but now that his parents have disowned him for coming out, and moving onto base has removed him from any possible support system leftover from his school days, he's been keeping himself to himself and living off of determination and TV dinners.

When Liam meets Yves at a G-MIL support group meeting, he can't help but be attracted to the older man. But when things start to heat up in the kitchen, will these two men settle for a fling...or have the courage to invest themselves in true love?

Falling for His Hero is the second audiobook in the Soldier's Support Group series, although it can be listened to as a stand-alone audiobook. These military men might face some tough choices, but each audiobook in the series delivers a guaranteed happily-ever-after!

A nice romance

A nice, sweet romance, with two MCs who are troubled by their pasts but overcome their problems through communication (shocked!).

Their relationship evolved pretty fast; there are some hot scenes; the characters are likeable and their motivations easy to understand, particularly because we get both of their POVs..

An enjoyable romance.

Lance Adams does a great job with the narration.

Couldn’t put it down.

This is the second book in the Soldiers Support Group with developed characters. This is a story about Yves and Liam. Yves who is in his forty’s is a retired army vet, divorced and is in a limbo starting his new career as a chef of his own restaurant. Liam is in his twenty, is a bit of a loaner (Keep to himself) and is in the military man. Liam and Yves meet at G-MIL a support group for the military. The attraction and curiosity were instant and the two connect and started a friendship that grew to more. The narration was very well done.

Great addition to this series!

This book is wonderful. The characters are well written and believable. I really liked that they fought for what they wanted. And as with other series I've read, I like when characters from other books in the series make appearances. This can definitely be read as a standalone, but it is more enjoyable as part of the series.

Great story

This was the first time I've read/listened to any book written by Jamie June and it was great.

We follow the story or a retired soldier Yves as he joins a military support group on a whim. There he meets Liam and romance ensues. Both men have issues they need to overcome but one thing is clear, the way they feel about each other isn't a game.

Overcoming obstacles and their own worries Yves and Liam end with a HEA. You really should listen to it. Lance Adams has an amazing voice and did a fantastic job with this.

I was given this book at my request and freely leave this review.

Friends to lovers

This is a pretty sweet and quick listen with a friends to lovers undertone though it does move along pretty quickly. The pace is good though, with likable characters and a sweet story a nice continuation of the series. Adams does the narration really well making this an enjoyable and easy listen.
