About this listen

My veil is gone, and I need it back.

Stuck in the lethal Outer Rings of Glacium, I must fight to survive. And not just that; my true identity must remain the gravest of secrets. No one can find out I'm the Tatuma of Osolis - the princess of their enemy world - especially now I know why I've been veiled my entire life.

I have to believe I can do it, because only then can I continue the search for Prince Kedrick's murderer and navigate my way back to King Jovan's castle.

Has my mother refused Jovan's peace offers and declared war? Do my brothers and Aquin know I'm alive? Who are my enemies, and who are my friends?

Nothing is certain. Though...if I think about it, nothing has been certain in a long time.

Warning: Cliff-hanger ending. Recommended for mature young adults due to swearing and mild sexual content.

Excellent

Series one of the best series I’ve listened to. Narrator does excellent job with the characters voices.

Super Satisfying and Uniquely Creative World

In book 2 of the Tainted accord series, the story of Olina continues from an amazing book 1... I can't say enough about this series. First of all, I'm very picky about narrators... if I don't jive with the narrator than I can't listen to it - I say that to say, Amanda Dolan did a fantastic job! Each of the voices were unique to the character and concise. It was very well performed. The second installment of this series did not disappoint, so if you liked the first book you will enjoy the second even more as the plot thickens.

INCREDIBLE

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WELL DONE👏👏👏👏👏🤩🗣THIS WAS NOT AT ALL WHAT I THOUGHT AT FIRST GLANCE AND WISH THERE WAS MORE JUST LIKE I WISH THERE WERE MORE OF THE RED QUEEN SERIES BY VICTORIA AVEYARD BUT IT IS STILL ENOUGH JUST NOT FAIR:(!
EXCEPTIONAL NARRATION AND LOVED THE CHOICE OF SLANG AND MADE ME LAUGH AT HOW SUCH THINGS COULD HAVE CAME OUT OF OTHERS MOUTHS AS IF I WAS RIGHT THERE BETTER THAN TV MOST DAYS !!

Solid transition and character building transition book

I am writing this review after having completed the entire series. I couldn’t stop reading to review each in between!

This was probably my least favorite book though it’s still very foundational. At this point Olina has escaped after having finally seen her face in the reflection of the mirror and run away to join.... a fight club??? Yep you heard right! And for the first quarter of the book that was all that was going on. Just fighting etc etc some outer ring drama and politics which felt like it had a lot of action but I kept waiting for the plot to move forward. The road blocks to finding Kendrick’s killer were frustrating and you could feel the comfort in monotony (in spite of getting beat up occasionally) that Olina must have felt but eventually things come to a head and MAN that dome battle was epic and satisfying and eventually gets Olina back in the castle under the guise of her new persona. There the relationship between Olina and Joven really gets going. You can see how the closer Olina comes to finding herself and BEING herself the closer she is to finding happiness with Joven. But she’s not herself and there are castle politics that cause problems.

Olina runs and that is additional frustration in and of itself. The final to books are beyond worth making your way through this one!

A Great Story! I loved it!

What did you like best about this story?

*an audio copy was received in exchange for an honest review*

I've sat here and thought about how to express my feelings for this book and I'm just... gonna go with it. Lol This is not a bad reaction, no it's one of fondness and intrigue. I really enjoyed this book. I like the addition of so many new characters and the interactions between them and Lina.

However, there were many, many, many times I wanted to reach into the pages of this book and snatch that gal up and choke the craziness out of her. Seriously she made me so mad a few times I just had to walk away. But I came back cause dang it, I had to know what that crazy gal was up to next.

The pages flowed slow at times, and a little too quickly on parts but I think the overall balance is there. Lina is danger magnet. Like seriously. She becomes one of the best fighters on the pits of the outer rings, all while searching for Kedrick's killer. One thing turns to two and then it all comes crashing down.

As with anything Lina does she pulls out all the stops. Thank God Jovan has seen her without her veil. It's seriously the ONLY thing that saves her hide and the hides of the men she's grown to call family. This in turn gives her a reunion with the castle but not as herself. Things get tricky and in the blink of an eye, she's running.

Once again she's on the outskirts but when word gets to her a Solati man has been taken to the king she has to go see who it is. When Lina sets eyes on here brother, she's herself again. Back in the place she just ran from. Back where she ran from the man, the king that wants and needs her...

It makes it hard when word gets to her that trouble is heading their way. Death may be calling on them all soon. It's up to Lina to find a way around it...

She has one shot at this... if she fails, many will die.

Wonderful!

This book was great! It picks up right where the other left off and continues with all of the excitement, romance, and intrigue. Great narration. Definitely worth the credit!

This should be a stand alone

I'm confused as to why a whole book was given to the the stories of the this "fight ring" and I am still wondering what this has to do with Book 1 which BTW was great. This is so far off the original story it should be a stand alone. I was so looking forward to Book 2 and well I guess I still am. Save your credit. I will not be finishing and instead starting book 3. Fingers crossed!
