But Taristan and Queen Erida will not be defeated so easily. Both will burn the world to bring down Corayne—and bring forth their demon god, What Waits, ready to claim the realm of Allward for his own.

In a final clash between kingdoms and gods, all must rise to fight—or be destroyed.

Everything has come to this. Prepare for a larger-than-life, unforgettable finale to the instant New York Times bestselling Realm Breaker series, where a shattered alliance must rise from the ashes to make their final stand against a ruthless enemy…and the demon god who looks to shroud the entire world in darkness.

Amazing Narration!

Really enjoyed the narration from Natalie, normally in an ensemble I find the characters run together but she kept them distinct without it being jarring!

One Last Adventure

This is comparable to the Lord of the Rings. It is a wrap up to the series and the characters and storyline dont dissappoint. I plan on reading the authors other books.

The audio artiste

Really good story. Personally, I am glad everyone lived. Disliked Eruda thru the full story line. If that was the intention, it was very successful.

Overall decent story, amazing narrator!

Content Warning: this book does have a scene where kids get k!lled. It's not super graphic and you actually only see the immediate aftermath and not the act itself but just a heads up. It felt pretty unnecessary to the plot and you could probably just skip like half that chapter without missing much else if you don't want listen to that part.

I'm torn with this book because I really liked the first two and this one was just a little bit disappointing to me. I'm glad to know how the story ends but honestly it was hard to stay engaged with this book compared to the first two.

The villain character development in this book is still interesting but I feel like the protagonist and her friends are all mostly finished with their character arcs by book 2. That being said, at least this author is consistent and doesn't just destroy character arcs to create drama. The main protagonist is pretty down to earth and doesn't hide behind a massive ego but she's also not whiny at all so I can understand why there wasn't much more growth for her to undergo. She's a solid heroine regardless!

If you liked books 1 and 2 I'd still suggest reading this one to get some closure. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I had read the last one directly after the first 2 but I had to wait a couple months for book 3 to come out and by the time it did I was feeling a little disconnected from the storyline. If you're reading everything straight through for the first time it might be better!

This narrator is probably one of the very best ones I've ever listened to. Her accents and different character voices are fantastic and she adds so much to the story with her inflection and everything. 10/10 for narration!

From a mediocre series to a 4.5 finale

Our heroes are scattered and must find their way back to each other. All the alliances lost and made gather in Iona for one final battle that will decide the fate of the realm entire. Whatever weaknesses the first two books had, if you’ve read this far on, will be forgiven here.

There was enough dramatic tension and significant action to keep me listening until the final battle. And as for that—more than most of her peers, Victoria Aveyard choreographs very well. It was already four in the morning where I was but I sacrificed a bit more sleep to know how it finishes. The two plot twists at the end were worth it.

Whatever flimsy themes were threaded insufficiently through the first two books become fully fleshed out here. Satisfying but a little too late for us readers. However, the emotional dynamics of the characters (which has been the saving grace of this trilogy from book 1) start paying off as the orchestra of characters and their histories come head to head in a way that is meaningful and excellently handled.

With us

Well written to tie up some of the ends but leaving hints of more to come. This third book did an wonderful job of reminding us of the first two books without dragging down the reader into endless repeating of what has already happened. The twists that were thrown in we well done and I truly enjoyed being surprised.

Excellent storyline and narrator

This was a phenomenal ending to a world you can get lost within; the narrator made the listening easy and addictive. The world building and character development was thoughtful and intriguing.

Under Developed Plot

Just ends. No real explanation of what happened in the story or why. A real let down. What happened to all the groups of elders.
