About this listen

Adrift in a post-apocalyptic world, they only have each other. Is it enough?

A virus that turns the infected into zombie-like killers spreads through a burning world thrown into lawless chaos. Lovers Parker and Adam have escaped to the open sea when they hear a message over the airwaves from a place called Salvation Island - a supposed safe haven.

Orphaned as a child, werewolf Adam has always longed for a pack. He's eager to investigate the island, but Parker doesn't think for a nanosecond that the voice on the radio can be believed. He doesn't trust anyone but Adam and is determined to keep it that way. They don't need anyone else complicating their struggle to survive. Or do they?

Danger on the high seas can surface in a heartbeat, and if Parker and Adam aren't careful, the current will drag them under.

Contains mature themes.

Fantastic Series!

I'm so glad I finally got to finish this series! Thank you to my Secret Holiday Elf for the gift which I happily upgraded to the whispersynced audio version! Love, love Tristan James so it was a real treat to have him perform this one for me.

Creative and wonderfully dark story, with lots of twists and turns - plus great characters with a fascinating dynamic. Highly recommend!

I wish there were more like this.

I don't typically leave reviews for the books I read, but I felt very compelled to review this one and the previous in the series. I really wish there were more books like this in the LGBT realm. While Parker and Adam are gay and get up to some hot antics, that's not the focus of the book series. I felt the visceral fears and stress of the characters throughout the series and became thoroughly invested in their and their companions' story. Tristan James was fantastic for this series, as neither of the main characters came off as helpless, as could have easily been the case.

Love me a post-apocalyptic hell scape and having a fantastic love story to boot?! I thought it was excellent.

Nice conclusion

I really liked that the MCs trauma wasn't glossed over and that his erratic and distrustful behavior made sense because of it. The story is a great continuation of the previous book and the conclusion is a good HEA if that's what you're looking for. The narrator is a bit bland but it gets better as the book continues. Overall not a waste of an afternoon listen.

Very enjoyable read and satisfying conclusion!

We will never know for sure if a cure will be developed (but there is the possibility thanks to the mad scientist in the first book) and we will never know for sure how the virus was developed and then initially disseminated. But what we do know is that our Heroes survived and are safe and sound in a werewolf resort of sorts 😉. We know they will continue to move forward and thrive. Keira Andrews is a very talented writer - she is able to write about things that seemingly aren't possible not only become possible they end up being believable. Dawn of the Dead featuring werewolves...the main character on a motorcycle at that! who'd 've thunk it? Keira Andrews apparently. This was a very refreshing m/m romance with very realistic feelings and definitly sexy. The only fly in the ointment is the narrator. Tristan James is a good performer, when I sped him up slightly it worked in Parker's favor - as Parker is kinda high strung and melodramatic (which was both entertaining and/or annoying at times) but I don't think Tristan's voice was suitable for this book. He has a smooth sounding more mature voice that would probably be suitable if this book took place in the 1920's or 40's. But still, although not suitable, I was still able to enjoy the story telling.

4 stars - I would listen again

I hope!!

I know this was the end but I’d KILL for another novel with Parker and Adam…..I only had 1 complaint…. Like where the heck did fisting sex thing come from!!! Seriously Not something I wana read, and I HIGHLY doubt wether like me your a gay male or one of the numerous women who read these..I don’t think ANYONE enjoyed it..I quite literally skipped forward on that scene, everything else was insanely good, well and I thought the fate of Abby wasn’t necessary, I think having her live woulda added more to it than her dying. But other than that I loved it!!!!!

Stunning HFN ending

Listening to this was just like rereading this duet for the first time and oh my god. It was just as beautiful and heartbreaking as the first time I read it. Tristian James does a WONDERFUL job at every character and I cannot wait to see if he does the third one (when it comes out!)

An enjoyable read

I loved the first book in this series even though it was from Parker's POV the entire time and I kept wishing we got a glimpse into Adam's thoughts. This wish was answered in the second book. The Dual POV was a welcome change from the first book. The narration was also very well done.
My only issue with this is that it didn't feel like the series was finished. I'm probably just being stubborn and liking things to be wrapped up at the end, but we were left with several unanswered questions which I'm not a fan of.

loved it!

This duet was exciting, sweet, elements of danger and survival....creatures that we only know of in stories. Found family, first love, and so much more. I was not expecting to love it like I did! Great narration too!
