a fresh voice to a well loved story

if you know anything about me, then you'll know that the air awaken series is one of my favorite of all time. when I heard it was getting a revamp and you narrator I jumped at the chance to listen to it. Caitlin Kelly really does the series Justice. she is The voice that I didn't know I needed to narrate Vhalla. for those that had issues with the prior audiobook and some of the mistakes in it, rest assured that this upgrade is flawless.

Highly recommend!!

If you are looking for an audiobook to lull you to sleep at night, this is not the book for you! I was kept up listening to it into the early hours of the morning, unable to pause and go to sleep. I received this audiobook in exchange for my review.

Fire Falling is the second book in the Air Awakens series. You really should read the first book Air Awakens first to understand the depth of the relationships and history in this story. It is a series full of magic, romance, war, family drama, friendship, heartbreak and desperate hope. Elise Kova has created an incredible world with rich history and compelling relationships. This book ends in quite the cliffhanger and as soon as I finish this review I will be jumping into the next book. Caitlin Kelly, narrator, has a calming and engaging voice. She creates voices and personalities for the characters giving the audiobook a lovely depth. Occasionally her voice reminded me of Mandy Moore and I felt like Rapunzel was reading me a story.

Amazing Elemental Magic Fantasy book

“Even something very small can cast a large shadow when it is close to the sun.”

This must be one of my favorite quotes from Fire Falling, book 2 from Air Awakens series. In this book, we keep on learning about Vhalla’s journey now that she belonged to the Crown as a tool.

I loved the slow burn romance growing between Vhalla and Aldrik and all the details from the Western culture and traditions. The Crossroads made me want a whole book that would take place there and learning more about the Western Academy.
I really loved getting to know more about Aldrik’s western side of the family and more details about several supporting characters.
There’s also an increasing insight into politics and on the Emperor Solaris personality… everything and everyone must serve his purpose.
I loved Caitlin Kelly’s narration, perfectly balanced and articulated.

Waste of time

Painstakingly slow and drawn out. Anticlimactic. I feel like this book repeats the same scenes and issues OVER and OVER. I couldn’t even finish it.
