Publisher's summary

Before her death in July 1997, beloved lesbian-feminist author Chris Anne Wolfe published two of her four classic Amazon adventure novels: Shadows of Aggar and Fires of Aggar. These two volumes are only the first half of the Aggar cycle. Chris Anne also published two stand-alone novels, the time-bending romance Annabel and I and Roses and Thorns, the retelling of Beauty and the Beast.

The manuscripts of Chris Anne's remaining novels, short stories, poetry, and songs were willed to publisher and friend Jennifer DiMarco. These hand-written volumes include both remaining Aggar books, Sands of Aggar and Oceans of Aggar, and more than a dozen retold fairy tales and original fantasy and contemporary novels. In 2012, with Rebecca Fitzgerald and Skye Montague, DiMarco launched Amazons Unite, a publishing house dedicated exclusively to Chris Anne's work.

About Fires of Aggar, book two of the Amazons of Aggar series:

Royal Marshal Gwyn of the Amazons of Aggar travels into danger to aid and protect Blue Sighted Llinolae, the ruler of Khirla, a city plagued by Terran raids. But magic is afoot, political plots brew, and these two women may need the advice of two who lived hundreds of years before, Diana n'Athena and Elana n'Sappho.

Amazing narrator and story

I love this book since it is about women with amazing strength and courage. It is a beautiful story in a world that is described in such vivid detail that I feel I know this place. The narrator uses different voices and has a calming and passionate speech. I recommend this to all women and especially women who love women that enjoy a new, exciting story.

good book... Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this book. the narrator was great in expressing the characters as they are. the story was a little different from the first but good nonetheless. I hope the book comes out on audible as well. looking forward to it!

Not what I expected

This book is not so much a story, as it is a long winded interaction of characters. This book is much different than the first book in the series, and I feel like I didn't accomplish anything by listening to it. I really struggled to finish this book. the writing is great, the performance even better. But the story just isn't really there.

Very good story

This was a very good read. The plot development was very well written and the characters very believable. The main and supporting characters were well executed in their respective roles. The narrator was very good.
