I inhaled book 1. Absolutely loved it. However, book 2 felt different. Instead of being in the head of a 29 year old man, I felt I was in the head of an 18 year old boy.

And I realize this is just a story, but with the wealth the "Weaver's" have, why in the hell wouldn't they have done gender selection for birth?

And I am still not to certain of the rules and legalities of their ancestral contract. I know this is probably my lawyer brain trying to make sense of this...but I feel as though I have missed an important factor. For instance, Nila's mom was not a first born Weaver; did the contract state that if no women children were born then the Hawks were to have the wife of the first born son? And if that's the case then why get married? I am wondering if the books have the contract written out so I could read and the audible version doesn't? Nevertheless I am moving right along to book 3.

Addictive, dark, tense. Not for everyone. The narration truly takes it over the top. I can't wait for the third book to release!

5 Crazy Ass Must Listen Stars!!!!!

Holy headtrip! Do I like Jethro? Do I hate Jethro? The Hawks are a screwed up bunch that's for sure.

I love the narrators. They do an amazing job and had me getting lost in the story with no distractions.

I wish that Book 3 was out on audio but I guess I will just have to read it because there is no way I'm waiting. I need to know what happens with Nila and Jethro.

It was a roller coaster but the best kind at first I wasn't sure if I should even buy it but now I am very happy I did... be aware there is a lot of parts in this book that might bother some readers.... also this is a 6 book series and not all of them are on audible the last 3 books you will have to read

What made the experience of listening to First Debt the most enjoyable?

well it was a little shocking at first the way the women are valued and treated , but it is good to see a strong woman character that can really turn up the heat , some pleasure and pain

Would you recommend First Debt to your friends? Why or why not?

I would be hesitant to recommend it for some women in my life , but others would enjoy it

the hot love screens are captivating

can you find romance in relationship that is arranged and where your life is in constant danger

I will be very disappointed if she is actually killed and has a sad ending , would like to see it end with a rebalancing of the power and they end up together and in control of the empire

It's hard to choose if I like Nila or Jethro better. Both Kylie and Will do such an amazing job at bringing the characters to life but I think Jethro is my favorite. You can feel every emotion he is feeling.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, but I didn't have the time to. It took me a couple days

I enjoyed the story but HATE the way the book ends. I understand that it's a series but is it to much for one book to finish an idea & start a new idea in the next book?

I really wish the author's would put in the discreption that the story isn't over even after book 2!!!!! it's just now getting to the good part and it ended and now have to wait until the summer for book 3. Will not buy if it doesn't say it's the final book or conclusion to the main characters of the book. not worth the credit.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this series keeps getting better as the debts play out and there are more debts to come. The audio performance is great and writing is amazing.

What other book might you compare First Debt to and why?

They are similar styles to Tillie Cole's dark style of writing and also about a MC club but also very different all together. Tillie also has violence in her books so if you are used to that some of the storylines in this book are nothing compared to Tillie's books. I would also say they are similar to Penelope Sky's Button Series as they are about a debt but this one is much darker than that book series.

What does Will M. Watt and Kylie C. Stewart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The vocal perfomaces bring life to the books that just reading the story from a page doesn't. Reading a book and hearing a book are two different things. When you hear a performance from Will and Kylie you can hear emotions and almost be brought into the storyline. It's like the story is being brought to life instead of just reading the book and turning the page.

refreshing story and not at all predictable. having two readers was the icing on the cake. I don't see the full story being revealed in the next installment. too much left to uncover
