About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author of The Dollar Series comes the first novel in a dark romance duet. She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy...

He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.

Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?

Ruin & Rule is a full-length audiobok and ends on a cliff-hanger. Cleo and Kill's story continues in Sin & Suffer.

Wow, just wow.

This book wasted no time in dragging you straight into the chaos. From paragraph one the mystery starts and goes non-stop. It's a bit angsty, but an excellent story. Your heart is gonna break, it's going to roar, it's going to cry, it's going to heal and then it's going to get cliffhung. But I believe that it's worth it! Starting book 2 now!!

OMG!!!!

OMG!!!!
I do love me some Kill!!!
He is my all time favorite biker! He's hurt from his past and has revenge on his mind. But his plans change once he finds his Cleo and realizes she's alive! The scenes are off the charts. Plus just like Pepper Winters always does is leaves up in an emotional tailspin. It's such a fantastic book. But there is a WTF Cliffhanger!!!!!! NO!!!!! Just kill me now!!!!! I have to wait months for the next book to come out!!!

The narration is great!

I loved the blending MC and romance

Any additional comments?

Ruin and Rule is a MC second-chance romance by Pepper Winters. The introductions of each chapter are in Kill’s POV and the chapter’s are from the Forgetful Girl. I usually shy away from MC books, but I love Pepper Winter’s books. Ruin and Rule was a nice blending of the two genres.

Kill is troubled. He has mind on revenge. In the cusp of getting the revenge he wanted, he had to steal five girls but the guys from his MC come back with six. The sixth girl stirs something in him that he buried 8 years ago and refuses to think of the possibilities.

The sixth girl has no memory of her past or her name. Only thing she knows is when Kill takes off her blindfold, she recognized his green eyes. She feels an intense draw to him. As the book progresses, she has flashbacks on her past.

I don’t want to spoil the book for you, but I wanted to beat the crap out of Kill and then hold him to sooth his pain. I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room and mourn Kill’s loss. Ms. Winters is an awesome job drawing out all sorts of emotions in the reader with this story.

The end is a HUGE cliffhanger that packs a book hangover. The next book is out in January of 2016 and I had it pre-ordered immediately upon finishing Ruin and Rule. I loved it.

Loved it!

It’s as ridiculous and entertaining as you’d imagine it would be. Heads up this ends on a hell of a cliffhanger I’d recommend having the second one waiting.

Excellent Audiobook

I absolutely love Pepper Winters' books! This storyline kept me engaged and I didn't want to pause the audio. I actually listened to the two books back to back before writing my review.

At first I was in disbelief that Killian didn't recognize the love of his life, Cleo/Sarah. His behavior turned me off. But then I recalled a time I met a doppelganger of an ex and how it threw me completely off. COMPLETELY OFF. So add that with his brokenness, all that was going on in his life, and it's believable. Their story is intense and dark. The cliffhanger had me starting the next book immediately. I needed answers!

Kelsi Nesser is an excellent narrator. The book rolled like a movie in my head. She had many characters to voice and she nailed them! Excellent performance!

Potential to be Great

Please change the narrator. At points it is hard to tell characters apart for the male roles. She does a good job with the female character but I still am not a huge fan. This book has the potential to be great. I am just not sure if Pepper Winters is going to be able to get there. There seems to be a lot of dragging on in the story. I get it she does not remember. Move on and lets get to some excitement! I am going to go for the second book because I think there is potential for the story line to move to greatness. Lots of hidden innuendos of as to plot twists. We will see.

It ends just when the climax begins.

The book was good but to long. Feels like the author writing a big novel. Then cut it into smaller books. That are still drawn out and never gets to the meat of the story. Now you're left hanging wondering if it was worth the time and credit.
