Can it get any Hotter?

Life is finally settling Down for Beth and Donavan. Married now, dream home and working on a family leads to the romance leads to sizzling “bedroom” scenes! But it seems as though normality is just not in the cards for these too! Wildfires and villains add even more action and thrill to this story. This is one of
those rare series that each story manages to hold its own! Bill Nevitt as narrator has provided a continuity through the last several books that makes if feel as though you are right in the midst of things.

Disaster Crime Story

Flaming Crimes is another gripping book in Chrys Fey's Disaster Crimes series. Having listened to books 2 & 3, I was looking forward to finding out more about Donovan and Beth and what dangers they might find themselves in Flaming Crimes. They are back in their forever home in Florida, living a good life and once again ominous things begin to happen. Who is it now that wants them dead? Stong, riveting characters, (I enjoy the relationship of the Goldwyns with their detective friend Thorne--the back and forth teasing and the trust they share) edge-of-the-seat action and a tension-filled story that moves quickly, all come together to make this an enjoyable book. The author vividly paints the fiery scenes of Florida burning and the monster truck race, keeping interest high.
I listened to a complimentary copy of the audiobook and the narrator, Bill Nevitt, does a great job telling the story, making for an enjoyable listening experience.
I will put a caution here that this book is at least a PG-13 rating, due to language and intimacy details.

Drama and excitement abounds in this series

After listening to the other books in this series, this one deals with a lot of fears that people today must confront. The fear of muggings and rape, and how to face it. The fear of almost losing a loved one in an accident, the fear of fire and the devastating impact it has on a family and community. Then there is the fear of being targeted by a ruthless criminal, being kidnapped and facing a terrible death at his hands.
However, for each fear, there was always the positive attitude, that anything could be overcome and the individual still had power, irrespective of the situation. It was a case of finding a way out!
The narrator does a fantastic job, bringing the characters to life and creating further dimension through his vocalizations.
I have really enjoyed this book, as well as the others in this series.

just when Beth & Donovan think it's safe...

Our favorite couple, Beth and Donovan, have survived a lot over the past couple of years...hurricane, earthquake, tsunami...and are finally enjoying married life in Central FL. Beth has her self defense school and Donovan, his monster truck racing business...now they'd like to start a family, but that has been slow coming...doesn't help the pressure from Donovan's mom and grand mom! Unfortunately, Central FL is being plagued by drought and ensuing brush fires and soon it gets close to B & D's home! Then someone sabotages Donovan's truck during a race and the couple and friend, Detective Thorn, are baffled by who would do this, after all, the bad guys have all been locked up. When Beth is kidnapped, the identity of the would-be-killer is revealed...but the story doesn't end there...you just have to read/listen to find out what happens next! Another fast paced, action packed story in the lives of Beth and Donovan.

Part 4 of an action romance

This is the fourth book in the disaster crimes series. Each story can stand alone, however the relationship of the main characters builds throughout.

Beth and Donovan once again face a disaster, this time with fires, and not necessarily natural. They run from a demon of their past and try keep each other safe in the midst of everything going on.

They are a perfect couple but have had much to deal with in their lives. They seem to attract adventure and action wherever they go, but keep their strong and steamy relationship alive along the way.

Bill narrates very well. I like his style and his performance keeps me entertained.

I have enjoyed this series and recommend it to anyone enjoying romance, or action, or both! I look forward to hearing the others in the series.

Note: This book was given to me for free at my request and I have provided this objective review, voluntarily.

Excellent

This is book 4 in the disaster crime series. We’ve watched them meet, fall in love, get married and honeymoon but in this book we see more of the personal lived of Beth and Donovan. Beth is recovering from her capture in Tsumani Crimes and beginning to feel something is missing in their lives while still being action packed and full of suspense.
Bill Nevitt does an amazing job bringing these crime books to life. He brings the characters to life and letting their emotions come through.

You could, listen to this as a stand-alone but it’s an amazing series, you will enjoy it so much more if you start with the first book

Good read

My fifth read from author Chrys Fey. The characters introduced in Hurricane Crimes (Disaster Crimes #1) are back in this story. Well-written romantic suspense, captivating & intriguing with well-developed characters. I’ll be reading more in this series and look forward to the fourth book. (I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

A hot, sexy romantic thriller

Flaming Crimes is a sexy romantic thriller with fire thrown in the mix. For those who have been reading the series, the fire in this book is not as dramatic or violent as the last book’s Tsunami nor does this book have as much action as the previous installment (unless you count sex). The fire in this book has a bit of a slow start, and it takes a while for the action to get hot. Still it is fun to catch up with Beth and Donovan.

The narrator of the audiobooks improves with each book. His voice takes a little getting use to, but it is engaging and draws the listener in to the story.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Flaming Crimes

Beth and Donovan are happily married and are now starting to think of kids. But wildfires close to their home has them both on edge, so much so they don't notice some of the strange things that are happening to them for what they are, until it is almost to late. Now the fire is coming for their house and while Donovan is helping keep water on the house Beth is running things to there car and helping neighbors until she finds herself running for her life.

These books just keep getting better, more action and more suspense, I don't know how the author does it but I like it. Narrator Bill Nevitt gives it another awesome performance and I can not wait for the next book. Beth and Donovan have become family and I love hearing what they are up too and how they beat the bad guys.
