Great until Book 3

I really like all of Patricia's books but book 3 in the Thin Blue Line series was not only ridiculous but rather demeaning to the Secret Service. Not to mention that the Secret Service would not be assigned to low level diplomats at an energy conference so the whole premiseis crazy. But going with the fictional nature of the plot, it still should be writtentomake some sense. The fact that there was an attack on the prince and 2 people killed and they didn't take action to up security ot remove him from the conference etc? Then to have a mass terrorist shooting and they continued on with conference events? Seriously? And that the Secret Service would shoot like 30 bullets into the gunman before they final came to the conclusion that a head shot was in order? The writer obviously doesn't have much respect for the Secret Service. I rolled my eyes so many times during this I got a headache. It certainly won't keep me from listening to her books, most of the things these guys do are kind of far fetched but it is usually to make them look good not demeaning. Just my opinion.

Great Detective Story

These are good old fashioned crime novels. The stories require some concessions to common sense, but not much. I was especially impressed by the diversity of characters. I think the narration was great but these books cried out for more than one narrators because of the need to capture the richness of the diversity. Nevertheless, they (all of them) are a must read or hear!

Great Seriers

Love Pope and Felix so much. Really love the way they fit in with past characters from Patricia Logan's books. was happy to see Snow and Mack but most od all Jared and Thayne. I love all there character and am so happy when they show up in her books. But cack to Pope And Felix. Great couple and great love story. Such a good seriers will be on my listen again list.

Love! Love!

I stumbled across this bundle. I have listened to all of the other books that have the different characters. I love the fact it brought it all home. Great storyline and Michael Dean does an amazing job. I want more.

Just Gay Porn with a side of Crime

I tried but it is all about gay cops, criminals and some crime story. I tried but the constant sexual descriptions and sex is too much. some characters seem stolen off of "The Wire".

Gratuitous sex and a mediocre mystery

The above average narration was the only thing going for this boxed set. As a fan of Logan’s Death and Destruction series, I was greatly disappointed in the non-stop, gratuitous sex that totally lacked in steam. Furthermore, the mystery was eye-rollingly unrealistic. Can’t believe I made it through all three books , even with some judicious fast forwarding.

Wish I had read the reviews

I typically love cheesy detective novels. This is beyond cheesy and I wish the description would have said it was a gay romance more clearly.

I struggled to finish

The narration was good not great. The storyline was okay however I feel like it was overdrama ties and over explained. The movements of each character in detail was not necessary. There were way too many characters and the repetitiveness of introducing them over and over became extremely irritating. The steamy scenes were great but very few and far between. As a trilogy I guess it was worth the credit it just wasn’t really my cup of tea.
