We follow Joel, a server working at a breakfast restaurant, who is determined to be a successful writer in the movie industry to take care of his family and girlfriend. Due to his unwillingness to face reality, darkness begins forming around him and the people he loves.

When left with no hope but to explore his mind of what the problem might be, demons begin whispering in the night, trying to stop him from following the light.

This fictional story is based on true events dealing with relationships and falling into darkness allowed by negative thoughts that fruition into bad habits. Luckily, Joel meets Thug Destroyer during the most beautiful lucid dream he has ever experienced at a place referred to as the "sacred garden".

Wanting to visit it again, with nothing else to lose, and in hopes that it will give him storytelling ideas, he uses psychedelics and enters a rabbit hole, causing a sleep paralysis episode that would traumatize the bravest of souls.

Just finished listening to it. Some of the scenes felt very real and terrifying! I’ve never had sleep paralysis but damn, I hope I never have it because how Joel describes it, it feels like hell! Really good story with some fantasy aspects but really, you know it’s a human story with real emotion. Also, Shane, the narrator killed it and did a great job! Loved his performance overall, especially Tammy and the demons voices.

Terrifying and real!
