Methodical, relatable, compassionate
I never heard of an eating disorder being referred to like an illness with the goal for it to be permanently in remission. This helps put the guilt and shame to rest thinking it’s all my fault and I could control this. I’ve already learned so much from this 7 step plan making recovery feel so much more in reach and not impossible. I have some healing to do but I’m ready to fully implement everything I learned and be fully free from my eating disorder.

So relieved to have found this book!
Recovery hasn't been easy, but I feel so supported by reading this book. The author shares the wisdom and secrets that she gained during her own ED recovery, which I found not only to be extremely helpful, but also inspirational. I especially appreciated the tables, worksheets, and additional support provided in the PDF that came with the audiobook. Thank you Kara, for sharing your story! Recovery is ongoing
As anyone who has recovered from a struggle, it is critical to realize that recovery is not a one time thing but rather an ongoing process. For those recovering from eating disorders, tools such as this audio book are tremendously helpful to keep them on track. I love that the author incorporated experiments to this audiobook which I really find interesting. . . The information / story/ narration is easy to digest and most of all relatable.
