Practical guide for beginners

This audiobook is packed full of great information and is the best single source I've found on how to go vegan.
It has great recipes, covers how to get all the nutrients you need, and addresses most of the common myths around this lifestyle.
Recommended for anyone transitioning to veganism.

New year, new start!

I have had some health problems as of late so I’m looking into changing my nutrition and my eating habits. I’ve started doing some research on whole food plant-based eating and came across this book.

I’m nervous to start this journey but this book was super helpful and insightful. It had a lot of great information for beginners how to ease into it. I also really liked the chapter on surviving the holidays because that is always a trigger for me. I enjoy food so I also really found the chapter on hunger cues helpful and will put this book to use!

An educational plant-based read


Parks covers all facets of whole-food plant-based eating in their book. Not only does he provide case studies and data of the success of this diet, but also tips of how this lifestyle is realistic to everyone, even the wary. In the first portion of the book, Parks debunks the myths that are widespread about plant-based diets, which is essential to winning over the opinions of its readers. Especially in a time of constant illness and prevention, taking a new approach to one’s diet could be transformative.

The A-Z of going Plant Based

Great narration and complete information from eating guides, to how to deal with cravings and how to survive a holiday! I enjoyed reading the sections around types of food and relationship to your body and health, this really helped me see the long-term health benefits this diet can provide. Recommend read for anyone thinking of going plant based.

Followed Along with Results

As someone who has chronic inflammation and psoriasis, it is always my goal to incorporate a balanced diet with more whole foods and reduce as much processed / inflammatory meals as possible. This audiobook is great because it can be a guiding hand for those who desire to transition their diet without being misguided. The book is to the point, has no fluff, and has an easy to follow outline. I also really enjoy how the author included tips and tricks in how to navigate the holidays, where eating in abundance is inevitable. Perfect for this time of year!

Factual!

As a person who believes in the power of wholesome food and its effects on our entire health, I completely recommend this book. The author not only gives information on the foods we need in order to be healthy, but he also ties it in with disease management. Who doesn't want to control illnesses and medical issues? This is a natural path that will not mess with your body with terrible side effects but will give wholesome healing. Great job!

A Must Try Diet

As someone who is willing to try everything once, i never viewed a plant-based diet as a viable option. I didnt understand how you could receive everything you need daily without carbs and animal proteins. This book opened my eyes to the possibilities and just after a few days, i feel like i have more energy and am actually able to feel full still without all the other foods.

Everything you need to know

I believe in the plant-based diet, but didn’t know a lot about it. Well, not only did I learn what foods it consists of, I learned how the foods could target physical areas of concern in your body. I learned the why and the how. I really liked the information in this book and highly recommend it to newbies and regular users of plant-based foods.

good study with practical tips

very helpful even if you dont plan to become 100% vegetarian, but rather just want to increase amount of plant based whole food and reduce amount of meat in your plate. Good practical tips regarding "surviving" holidays/parties etc.
It is important also to emphasize that vegan food can be unhealthy (candies, cookies), so we should focus on "healthy food", of which plant whole products are the main (or even only) ingredients.
I'd just suggest to make chapters more fine-grained; that is more convenient.
The narration is good.

Perfect for my new year resolutions!

Each year I resolve to eat healthy and take better care of myself. This audio book was gifted to me and I'm excited to give this a shot. I like that the author starts the book by establishing that this is a lifestyle - NOT a diet. I think my favorite part of the book are the 7 steps that lays it all out so clearly. I'm especially excited to see changes in 15 days!
