Great Start!

I love Jarrett and Brent's story. Even though it was a little predictable, it was still a good story. I have listened to many of Preston Walkers books, and feel he is wonderful with his writer and storytelling. Not to give anything away but, I do feel that one of the characters should have kept their pie whole shut.🤐Wesley Paul did an awesome job with his narration and bringing the characters to life. I'm looking forward to book2 becoming available to adubile soon. I will definitely be listening to this series, and recommend you do the same!🙂

Entertaining

It was an enjoyable short novel, based on the town of Furbitten Falls. This is the first book of a series, and it narrates the story of Brent and Jarrett, who after an incredible one night stand, dream about meeting each other since they can't forget the magic of their encounter, especially Brent, who ends up pregnant. Eight years later, Jarrett , who is a third grade teacher, notices that Emmery, Brent's daughter, is a wolf shifter like him, and is struggling to keep her alpha temper at school. He arranges a meeting with her father, and magic happens again when Brent and Jarrett realize they are fated mates. Overall, the romance is sweet and the intimate scenes are very sexy. I did have a couple of complaints about the story, in that Jarrett gets himself in situations that could have been easily solved with some honest talking, and the villain of the story just seems to show up out of nowhere just to wreak havoc and then go away. Also, it was really weird that the story switches from American English to British English, all of a sudden the characters are saying "bloody," "brilliant," "mate," when there is absolutely no indication that they are British at all. This is especially jarring since it's an audiobook that is narrated in American English from beginning to end. And there's a curse on Jarrett's wolf pack, that is mentioned a lot but is never really explained, even though it seems pivotal to the pack survival. The narrator, Wesley Paul, did a really good job, he kept a good, natural pace, was true to the emotional tones of the romance and has a very pleasant, clear voice. My quibble is that Brent and Jarrett sounded alike, and at times I had to remind myself who was talking, when the characters interacted. Overall, it was an entertaining short romance, not without its faults.

whoops they did it again

OMG, was this book hot! And yet so sweet.
The only complaint is that the nosey bitches didn't have to face consequences for their part in the couple's conflict.
Full disclosure I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

As great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Jarrett & Brent

Jarrett messed up his first encounter with his fated mate and seems intent on messing up any future chances. The eight years have not added any maturity. Brent is open and adorable, which makes Jarrett's stupidity all the more aggravating. The narrator was enjoyable.

Love it!

I bought the kindle book of this back in March and I read it in less than a day. I'm glad that i was able to get the audio for it also. I really enjoyed this book and the reader was awesome! Sometimes the readers are either a hit or a miss and Wesley was definitely a hit. I look forward the reading the rest of the books in this series and I hope that Wesley Paul narrates them all!

Nice cuddle up and enjoy story

Sometimes I would have liked to slap some sense into Jarrett. That being said we enjoyed this story and it leaves this story complete while pulling you into the next one.
