Nice work!

I enjoy listening to Wes Lowe as much as I enjoy reading his books. I’ve read a few of the Noah Reid series and it’s a family crime saga that spans generations.

I really like Noah Reid because he’s a real human being. He can totally kickass and beat the crap out of the bad guys, but he can be a complete wuss, like when he sees a gorgeous babe in the elevator.

Pure Guilty Escapism!

Definitely not Shakespeare but a whole lot more fun! If you want something that will make you ponder the universe, this definitely ain’t it.

But if you want something to entertain you while you turn off your brain, I’d highly recommend Fury Unleashed. It’s a fun ride of action, thrills and even a bit of romance and comedy!

Bruce Lee meets Mother Theresa meets John Wick

Noah’s like John Wick without guns. He’s also got a heart of gold. What do you expect? His parents were missionaries in China. And there’s a crazy twist at the end which I won’t reveal except that while it’s totally unexpected, it makes complete sense.

There’s humor in this story but it’s natural. Most guys can relate to acting like a dork when they try to approach a random beautiful girl that they just saw.

The East West thing works great. Chinese/Caucasian. Christian/Buddhist. Martial arts/armed weapons. But with added finesse.

Wes Lowe knows his stuff, offering insights into a secret world in an exciting thrilling story.

Watch out Indiana!

When listening to this book, I couldn’t help but thinking of Indiana Jones. There’s a young Chinese smartass sidekick, a mystical monastery in the mountains and lots and lots of snakes.

There’s lot of martial arts action and a bit of its history is woven into the story.

Wes Lowe’s narration is steady and pleasing. I don’t like any male narrating female’s roles. This one was still not great but it was at least tolerable.

Noah? No.

As a story, it was decent but not spectacular. Some people want detail and backstory but not me. Just cut to the chase. I did like that it had some touches of humor. Kind of reminded me of those little moments in Die Hard that John McClane wound up in.

The performance was tolerable but not thrilling. I like narrators with a lot more pizazz. Give me more sizzle.

Great Thrill Ride.

I got this book because a top Goodreads Reviewer thought it was fantastic.

I liked it because the characters and the settings are so authentic. I’ve been to Hong Kong several times and Lowe’s descriptions are so vivid, I felt like I was there in one of the back alleys with its funny little shops and sidewalk carts with hawkers yelling out. As someone who is learning martial arts, I liked the way that there was a bit of background as well as the action moves.

I like knowing why people are the way they are. Noah’s been all over the place and for a guy in his twenties, has gone through a lot. The Triad leader Chin is not bad because he was born that way. He had a real interesting history.

The narration was easy to listen to. Not over the top.

Meet Noah Reid

A real adrenaline rush! With Noah Reid, Wes Lowe has created a unique action hero. Well-written with great fully developed characters. I’ve never been to Hong Kong but the descriptions of the sights, sounds and smells make me want to see it for real.

I like the even pace of Wes Lowe’s narration. Some might find it a little slow but that’s easy to speed up if you want to.

No problem in recommending this. Should mention I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Excellent!

Because of Kindle Unlimited, I’ve read all of Wes Lowe’s books in the Noah Reid series and the Rayna Tan series. You can read all about the books on Amazon or wherever so I won’t bother about getting into the story details but just one thing. The East/West vibe that he instills in all his work is something authentic and special. For example, Noah was born to white missionaries in China but mentored by a Shaolin martial arts monk. That’s a conflict right there.

I liked the narration. Wes Lowe’s got a nice natural voice and doesn’t overact. I usually hate men’s voices trying to sound like women, no matter who is doing it. I wasn’t crazy about it here either but it was okay.

Happy to recommend this book to all fans of action thrillers.

Not a big fan.

Story was okay but kind of over the top. Narration was flat. Everything was competent but not enough to want me to listen to anymore.

A GREAT NEW FIND.

I got FURY UNLEASHED as an ebook and really liked the story so I decided to try the audiobook. Lots of action, great descriptions of Hong Kong and characters.

I loved Noah especially. He’s a real action hero like a combination of Bruce Lee and Captain America. He’s got real depth to his character. On the surface, he’s an easy-going guy but on the inside, he struggles with demons, particularly about the murder of his missionary parents ten years ago by an addict that they tried to help.

I also enjoyed the narration. I don’t listen to a lot of audiobooks so I can’t say I’m an expert but there’s something about an author narrating his own writing that I have always found appealing.
