About this listen

New to the Nightfury pack, dragon-shifter Mac cannot understand the bond between his brothers-in-arms and their human mates - until the moment he spies Tania and the energy bond between them blazes to life. Driven by a primal instinct, Mac will stop at nothing to find Tania, to keep her safe, to possess her. He has no time to waste: Ivar, leader of the rival Razorbacks, hunts her, hungry for a new high-energy pawn with which to destroy the human race. Caught between the warring factions, Tania finds herself immersed in a world she never knew existed - and bound by a love stronger than time.

With Mac, her safety from Ivar and the perils of the human world is assured, but still she is left with a terrible choice: forsake the independence she’s fought so hard to achieve and reclaim the life she loves, or abandon the man who now holds her heart.

voice actor great but dialog too repetitive

Would you try another book from Coreene Callahan and/or Benjamin L. Darcie?

Benjamin works hard to give each character their own voice but when Coreene uses ' Solid in the head....' and 'f bomb'and lets not forget ' on your six.' Even the phrases they use about being in love are the same.3 men 3 different personalities 3 exact same language.

Would you ever listen to anything by Coreene Callahan again?

Not sure. Curious about the others but worried it would be more of the same.

Which character – as performed by Benjamin L. Darcie – was your favorite?

Forge was my favourite. He had the best lines and sence of humour. I also felt his pain when ever he thought about what he has lost.

Could you see Fury of Seduction being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Mac and Forge. Of course you can not leave Tania out of the loop but I would focus on Mac and his relationships with those two. Then his need to belong and wonder who sired him. From there have Forge make some comment about how he couldn't be prouder if he sired Mac himself. Then the let down and beat down of a'daddy of the year'.

Any additional comments?

Story was fascinating but dialog was annoying. Voice actor was geat.

Wet n Wild!!

Great continuance to a great series. I love that the author has now introduced the European faction to the story. Which gives us more background for dragon kind. I can't wait for till Book 4 comes out. The narrartor is great with the different characters. He is male so the females do sound alike but the different accents on the males is very good.
I never thought I would enjoy a fantasy book like this but it has been a great listen and very entertaining.... and hot and I do so love the dragon furies.. =].
Start from book 1... this is a series...

Great story..But..

Any additional comments?

Another looong story but it was good. I'am going to read the 4th book, Fury of Desire, but if there's anymore written I won't continue the series. The books are just too long and way too wordy. I skimmed a lot of pages getting past Mac's feelings for Tania, which were said over and over again in so many different ways, just to get back to the story. The bad guys, Ivar, Rodin, Hamersveld, are really bad, Rodin especially, ewww.
I'm not sure about Nian. One minute I think he's bad then I'm not so sure.
I'm almost positive there will be books on Gage and Haider and Sloan and Daimler and.... but not for me. If the author would write her books without so much BS I would read everything she has but she just writes too much unnecessary stuff. For instance, another author might write that "she got undressed and got in the shower." CC will write, "she bent over and untied her shoes. Took them off. She unzipped her jeans and slid them down her long legs. She slowly pulled her shirt over her head. She unhooked her bra, took it off and walked into the shower." Really? She writes sooo many crazy descriptions of crap going on. You could take 100 pages from this book and not miss a thing. It was a really good story but you have to skim too much just to find it.

As to the narrator: I guess I've gotten used to him because it hasn't been so bad. Male narrators just cannot do women's voices worth a darn but at least Mr. Darcie tries and it has become bearable. I would listen to him again. The guys just take some getting used to.

as long as it is, a lot of questions remain

The overall plot in this series progressed well until this one; most things are the same. the evil villain has made no big gains or losses, the good guys make some significant gains in their pack relationships but little else (except of course Max and his woman), and it ends without a lot of retribution. Still a good listen though.

Dragonfury series NOT a waste of time

In this 3rd installment of Dragonfury stories, Mac, is new to the dragonfuries. His story seems a little hollow...The 1st 2 stories with "B" & "Rycar" were unbelievable, but I felt I wanted to know more about MAC and his story...I do not regret spending my time to listen to it, and I am looking forward to the next stories of the other Dragon shifters - I just hope I have a chance to get to know them better...and when the story ends - it seems to end a little abrupt...Again, NOT a waste of my time, but I want more!!!

Great Addition to the Series

Okay, let's start with the Narration - FABULOUS. This man as Mac's voice down pat. So what I want to hear and is spot on. I can give a little on the female voices cause the guys voices are dead on. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

The story. Mac's story has been one I've been waiting for (okay, I want all the guys since I've fallen in love with them in Book 1) and I wasn't disappointed. I loved how it introduced his father and the story with him and Tania is just beautiful. I love that her attitude is epic and doesn't fail. I also loved the hidden story line with her sister and I can't wait to see how that plays out.

Now, yes....I will say that - aside from our lovely cop in book 2, the female leads suffer from a bit of victim-itise BUT I was expecting that in this book considering that Tania is suppose to be Myst's best friend, who yes by the way - I still loathe. I really have high hopes for the next female leads in the future books.

If you've been debating on this series, I'd say go for it. Couple of things to keep in mind:

1. Female leads in Book 1 & Book 2 - need to get smacked and will drive you insane. Focus on the boys..they'll make up for it.

2. There is no time gaps in her book endings and start ups. Where one book ends, the next picks right up. It's nice.

3. The world of the dragons can be a little off at times but eventually it evens out and is coming together nicely.

4. Expecting BDB? Not gonna find it here. Dragons. No Vamps. Not a one to be found. Leave your BDB comparison's at the door, honestly.

Overall I was really happy with the book and I'm highly anticipating Book 4.

A bit different from books 1 and 2

I’m assuming that the reader has also read this series in order and with that, so I’ll comment specifically on this installment. The more I listen to Callahan’s books, the more her style grates on me. She writes in “chick lit” style, meaning it is riddled with colloquialisms. And many of them she uses repetitively, which gets old. The curses themselves are creative, but in my opinion, relying on that for every male in every book lacks creativity.

I admit I’m not usually a fantasy or contemporary romance fan but I liked Fury of Ice & Fury of Fire well enough, so I kept going. This book took a different approach from Callahan’s formula in the first two, which was good, but it got more into fantasy territory & I didn’t care for that (which I admit is just personal preference). The European faction was introduced and although I’m guessing this has to do with future plot lines, it was a distraction to me. Nayan’s plot line never really tied into the main story. I get leading off for the next installment, but I don’t like such obvious dangling plot lines. The narrator was decent, but his character voices have gotten mixed up and sometimes it was hard to tell who was talking. I’m not really sure I will get to book four – this one sort of lost my interest in the series.
