About this listen

In the sixth installment of Coreene Callahan's bestselling Dragonfury series, a tormented dragon shifter finds solace in the healing powers of a woman - one who needs her own salvation.

Dragon warrior Forge has been sentenced to death by the Dragonkind elite. Recalling the memories of his family's murders could drive him to the edge of insanity, but it's the only way to remove the target on his back. Fiercely determined to protect his pack and his newborn son, Forge agrees to undergo harrowing treatments to help him remember the trauma buried deep inside his heart and mind. When nothing works, a woman of unprecedented power is brought in to help.

Young, bright, and haunted by her own demons, hypnotherapist Hope Cunningham helps patients recover from their darkest memories. But each time she liberates a wayward soul, Hope's personal pain digs deeper - until one patient ignites an unforgettable passion.

Forge's healing journey is not without risk. Unwittingly, he has put Hope in the middle of a dangerous war, one that could shatter their eternal bond. Will the curative power of love be enough to save them?

Awesome story

I like the way this one started it almost seems like we are in the last book at the end so we know where we are when we read th I s one. Awesome job narrating the story too. Forge is so bad ass in this one and it also shows the softer side of him and the rest of the pack.

Great story-just poorly preformed and written, still worth it if you love dragons.

Overall, I like the story because it’s about dragons, action, and romance. I’m only hooked because I want to know how things will turn out, but unfortunately I cringe throughout most of the story. The writing is poor, definitely modeled after the JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood series, but not at all executed well between the forced writing style and bad narration. The narrator is tough to listen to, almost robotic, no flow, but if you can get past it, the rough writing, and if you really love dragon stories, then it’s worth the listen.

Forge tho!

I was waiting for Forge to accidentally run into his mate. And the fact that him doing so has solved an issue that will help the Nightfury pack fight of Zidane, Rodin and the dirty members of the Archguard, a plus!

LOVED this series but disappointed there's no more

LOVED this series but disappointed there's no more when many pieces of the story haven't concluded. I looked & the author started a new series on the Scotland Dragonkind while leaving this series hanging. Still worth reading since each boom concludes the main characters love story but wish the other topics had closure too.

One of the best in the series!

I loved this one, the pace and focus were good. If I had any criticism it would be that this performer made Venom sound ridiculous and I didn’t think enough there was enough guilt or fill in about Caroline. But, other than that it was great. When will the next one be out?

Another Great Entry to the Series

Any additional comments?

I love the new narrator!! Often when you mix in a new narrator the books loose something. Not this time, it's better. His smooth voice and excellent grasp of the different heritage of each character comes through crystal clear.
Too bad the strong willful women of the earlier books are now coming across as vapid chocolate obsessed bimbos.

Narrator sucked. Bring back Benjamin pls.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. Thought Forge’s story could have been developed better. Disappointing. 14 hrs of mediocre.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The way the wren was birthed

What three words best describe P. J. Ochlan’s voice?

Sucked. Couldn’t consistently keep the characters voices the same.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Develop more of a plot to the story. Dialogue was weak between Forge and Hope.
