About this listen

The final battle between the Humans and the Zaltule is drawing near. However, the Arachnids have a secret that will ensure victory and allow them to wipe out the Human race once and for all.

In the Strell Empire, former Supreme Overlord Xatul plans his return. He has amassed a fleet to take back control of the Kleese Empire.

The Humans realize they need more time to prepare for the coming attack of the Zaltule. To buy the time they need, Fleet Admiral Kelly sends Seventh Fleet deep into the Kleese Empire to draw the attention of the Zaltule. However, even the best-laid plans can sometimes go horribly wrong.

This is the climactic conclusion to The Galactic Empire Wars Series.

A great story. The best way to describe this series is"don't piss off the humans"

this was the best book of the series. the political and tactical writing was a big step up. the new narrorator also helped by not speed reading the series as if he were in a speed reading contest.

New narrorator and better writing

This book is on par with most of the previous books of the series. It is an enjoyable book with strong characters and political, social, as well as military struggles. It is a space opera in every sense of the genre, and if you like Battlestar Galactica mixed with Starship Troopers, you will enjoy this series quite a lot.

It is vital that you read/listen to the previous books or the story will not make much sense. The new narrator took some getting used to after 3 books by David Rheinstrom, but Liam Owen did a good job so no complaints there.

I was a bit apprehensive of the series at first, but I'm glad I picked this series up, well worth a read/listen.

The final volume to a enjoyable series.

so many characters that I have grown to love, died in this installment. that was hard to take. But , I love how this chapter of this series ends. This has been one of my favorite reads/listens ever. There is very little wasted words yet, we get the complete profile of each major player. This is so very well written.

LOVE THIS SERIES

AN INTERESTING UNIVERSE YOU HAVE CONSTRUTED, IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THE SEQUEL WILL PROCEDE AS YOU HAVE SURE LEFT IT OPEN. HOPE IT WILL INCLUED THE CHILDREN OF YOU INTERESTING MAIN CHARACTERS.

GRATE SERIES---HOW ABOUT A SEQUEL.

The ending left enough room to allow for another book in the series, I hope the author writes one.

Hope there is another one in the series

Title kind of says it all. Primarily the ending was just lazy and a blatant cop out. not much on the state of the galaxy, the thing we've been trying to save for like 5 books. like literally a few sentences, a paragraph maybe. and while the characters never really progressed much (a problem in his other series) I still don't feel like there was enough closure there despite how little character progression there's been. at least the author KIND OF fixed his other errors like constantly repeating himself. though there's a laughable count of the kleese repeating how the "galaxy will be ours." every time the reader checks in with them. the author still apparently believes lasers and shit give off visible light in a vacuum. blue and red lasers everywhere. ha. despite my rant I still greatly enjoyed both his empire and slaver series a lot. despite severe short coming the story moves along nicely with fair combat scenes.

fairly lazy and lackluster series end

If you've made it this far in the series, may as well listen to the last one. The reader is better in this than he was in the last book when he took over, but it's still not as good as the original reader. The conclusion to the story is pretty mediocre, but if you've come this far...

Meh.

What would have made Galactic Empire Wars: Insurrection better?

Better story and ending

What was most disappointing about Raymond L. Weil’s story?

all of the books repeat same lines way too many times

What does Liam Owen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

At least I can hear and have some understanding of what the book is saying

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Galactic Empire Wars: Insurrection?

At least half or more of the same words

Wish I had never started this series
