Publisher's summary

The New York Times best-selling author Victoria Danann brings us a paranormal/ sci-fi fantasy adventure like no other.

When elite Black Swan knight Sir Engel Storm is lost in another dimension, he learns firsthand that there's really no place like home.

Even as Storm begins acting like somebody else, his friends - the famous vampire hunters - reunite to try to salvage his reputation before it's shredded beyond repair. Everyone who can help is called in as a high-stakes search is mounted.

The demon Deliverance thought he'd found his son-in-law, but instead, he brings home a doppelganger who causes havoc because the only thing he shares in common with Storm is looks.

Meanwhile, the real Storm has been mistaken for a gambling addict heavily indebted to a loan monster. He'll need his quick wit, his training as a Black Swan knight, and a lot of luck to survive until he can be returned to the world where he belongs.

Find out why this simple-twist-of-fate tale has fans on the edge of their seats and has been called intense excitement and suspense from beginning to end with just enough humor, poignancy, and surprise.

So well told.

I had a rough night. So I listened to this book. It was so well told, I forgot I was not feeling good. This is my 94th book in 2020. Gathering Storm is one of my favorite BSK stories. Love Deliverance, but he was a bit sloppy when he lost Sir Storm. The story that ensues will have you laughing, crying, on the edge of your seat, and sighing from how romantic it is. Loads of action and suspense. Love the way it is read. From a Forever Fan... Pam James

Big plot whole

Overall this was a very enjoyable read. As always, I enjoyed Elora's and Ram's antics the mosts and getting to see Elora's trainees is action, especially Spaz, gave me all the feels. Actually most of this book gave me all the feels... I just had to overlook the giant plot in the main plot of this book, namely the 'Gathering of Storm'...

SPOILER incomimg...

I mean, anyone else find it strange that Litha could track a veritable stranger from the passes straighy into her father's domain and also can find her father amost anywhere and in any dimension if she so wishes, but had so much difficulty tracking her own husband? Nah... sounds a bit off. But, without Storm getting lost for in the passes this book wouldn't exist, so 🤷 I just went with it.

Narrated Well

A storm is brewing in the Black Swan world. Maybe even two.
Storm and Litha's daughter, Rosie, is growing up fast. Really fast. Between both her parents having demon blood in their veins and Litha's being part witch, that made for some potent mixing of genes. Rosie is smart and beautiful and she has one the hearts of all. Even the Glenn loves babysitting her. Then all bets are off the day she becomes a grown women.
Engle Storm is lost. I mean really lost. One moment he's with Deliverance riding the passages the next Storm has slip through his hands. Now Storm is lost in another dimension.
One minute Angel Storm is about to be killed by thugs, the next he finds himself being handed over to a beautiful that is relieved to see him. His life was spared and he is now in the arms of a beautiful woman. The day is looking up for Angel.
Storm needs to get to his home dimension before Rosie grows up without him.
Glenn is being groomed (and it's not because he's one quarter werewolf) to become the next Sovereign of Jefferson Unit. Solomon has is retiring and decided now is the time to go a extended vacation with Fansworth. So Glenn has to run the unit while he's gone. Everything should run smoothly with help of B Team.
Z team has a rep. And it's not good. Their the anarchists of the well ordered and disciplined world of the Knights, but they don't care. They're badass, emphasis on ASS. There is cost to be paid for being the lone wolf team.
Elora's life is on the line when plot to assassinate her comes to fruition. Everyone rallies to protect and her son, Helm. Including her students, but without Solomon to lead things don't look to good for the unit.
This is another winner. It's fast paced and funny. Gary Furlong did a wonderful job with narrating this beautiful tale.

Gathering Storm. Amazing

Absolutely Amazing. So full of Amazing Action and Twist and turns that will keep you intrigued until the very end of this story. The story line is definitely worth more than five stars if I could I would have given it ten stars because it is that Great. The narrator is FANTASTIC all of of the different characters are voiced in a way that definitely portrays that character.
