Publisher's summary

Diner waitress Allison Abraham has no idea her mundane life is about to change dramatically the day she serves a devastatingly handsome customer. Allison is immediately captivated by the mysterious man who stares through her soul with his electric-blue eyes. After he abruptly leaves the restaurant, she can't get him out of her head. She has no idea that he actually came on a mission to find her. Cedric Callahan wasn't expecting to fall in love at first sight with the pretty waitress he'd set out to find. In fact she is the last woman on Earth he should be having feelings for. But his selfish heart has other plans. Feeling compelled to know her before revealing himself, he makes her believe their meetings are coincidental. After a passionate romance ignites, Cedric's lies and secrets are finally revealed, changing both of their lives forever.

Interesting plot twists!

What made the experience of listening to Gemini the most enjoyable?

The narrators were excellent. Eric Michael Summerer is one of my favorites!

What did you like best about this story?

That it kept you guessing about what the big secret is in Allison's past!

Have you listened to any of Eric Michael Summerer and Therese Plummer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I listened to the Hashtag Series by Cambria Hebert

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without spoiling it, I would say when Allison comes back to town to visit Cedric's mother and he is there.

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyed this book. The secondary characters were just as fabulous and Allison and Cedric!

Didn't see that coming

I though Allison was a very lovable character. She was so hardworking and I loved how passionate she was about her career field. I could see why Cedric and all of his family loved her. Cedric on the other hand, he handled the situation poorly. He was also a bit selfish. I knew there was some kind of twist but I didn't expect it to be so tragically beautiful. Penelope Ward does angst and pain really well. She made the story and the pain to believable. Needless to say, the name was very fitting. I will say that the story did drag at some points and it took a while to get to the plot twist.

Therese Plummer is a fantastic narrator and I am always enthusiastic about her performances. Her voice is very pleasant. Eric Michael Summerer was okay. My only negative is that there was a lack of Bostonian accent. The characters spoke about it but I didn't hear it and it would have bought more dimension to the story.

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

A while ago he became a huge fan of Penelope Ward’s writing, and now I have found the best take yet. The beginning. What a story!
