About this listen

It's been so long, Warrior . . . I can feel you . . .

Is Idina Moorfield going crazy or has an ancient magic found its source?

Her family says she's not a true Moorfield and will never be good enough for the family business. Sometimes what looks like the worst day ever is the beginning of our best adventure.

Idina takes that first step into a new life and gets the hell away from them to forge her own future.

But her calling is the one thing they are the most against. She joins the military just like Uncle Rick. The other family outcast.

What is everyone in the Moorfield family so afraid of?

A new Warrior is about to find out the true roots of the Moorfield name. Nothing will ever be the same.

Good Story Totally wrong about the Army.

First as a career NCO we are never called sir. We work for a living. A drill Sargent is called drill Sargent and nothing else.

Damn!! I knew that Boot Camp was Tough, But Wow!!

My son was in the US Army for 13yrs and talked about boot camp, but until this book I really had only a small idea of what they go through, not sure that I could have made it at his age. The amount of detail in this 1st book is amazing. I love the MC Moorfield and her no nonsense approach to her Stupid Family Traditions. Moorfields ability to observe and decipher peoples body language and actions make this story that much more interesting. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Wasn’t horrible

So it wasn’t horrible but it got to be pretty predictable and very drawn out.. one of the parts that killed me was when it would go to 3rd person right in the middle of a first person monologue.. like “I couldn’t just stand there”, the young girl stood her ground, “you can’t do this”…. and gramps and her life givers (bc they aren’t real parents) need a boot to the ass like no ones business..

Has a certain charm, but…

Takes WAY TOO MUCH TIME (I’m 3/4 of the way through it and it’s still not there) to get ti anything even remotely resembling the “urban fantasy” it is purported to be.

Except for the most obscure reference to a presumably magical element, it is focused on truly uninteresting (if decently written) fully mundane experiences.
