About this listen

This short novella follows Fixit, a worker on the surface of Tau Ceti Prime in another adventure.

Fixit is faced with the recall of Glitch, the pinger who is her oldest and best friend dirtside. She has to fight to prove his sentience and prevent him from being deactivated and torn apart to be examined.

Favors are called in and secrets revealed while more questions are brought to the surface. Can Vashon and Fixit bring Glitch home safely, or will the techs topside at New Terra be his end?

Getting even better.

The first book of the Fixit series was really great, despite being so short. This one was even better.
I have but one thing to say to Erik, "You sneaky bastard. Well done."

The first rule of robotics is to not talk about it

The first Glitch was a great beginning to a small sci fi story that lightens the heart while watching the best dealing with the worst. this story delves right into AI and family, both born into and those we find along the way. a good sequel!

SELF AWARENESS
This was a pleasant story, with a humble character, which asks some big questions. It is all about life and what constitutes life. It is under the Gay and Lesbian category, but it should also be in Sci-Fi. The main character has a relationship with another woman, but that part of the book is so tame, as to not even mention. Her saying we slept together is about as far as the sex part goes.

While I liked Jackson in book one, I did not care for her in this reading. She read fast and without much feeling. For instance she had one line, in which she says, "I liked her black hair". It should have been read with some feeling, but they way it was read seemed awkward, as if she did not know why she was saying this.

Loved it!

This is book 2 in the Fixit Adventures. I highly recommend book 1 and suggest you listen to that before this one. This book focuses on Fixit's friend, Glitch. Glitch is artificially intelligent robot that has become self aware. The government issues a recall of his unit, more specifically just him, to see what makes him self aware. It's up to Fixit and Vashon to save him! This book asks a great question. What constitutes life? Can a machine really be "alive"? I hope to see more in this series. great story by Erik Schubach and a great narration by Hollie Jackson! She is the perfect narrator for Erik's books!
