About this listen

Co-author of the Dune sequels, Kevin J. Anderson's Gods and Dragons marks his triumphant return to epic fantasy, featuring a politically charged adventure of swords, sorcery, vengeance, and the awakening of sleeping giants.

Two continents at war: the Three Kingdoms and Ishara have been in conflict for a thousand years. But when an outside threat arises - the reawakening of a powerful ancient race that wants to remake the world - the two warring nations must somehow set aside generations of hatred to form an alliance against a far more deadly enemy.

yea was pretty fun to listen to. I thought that Utho would get his memory erased for being a bad guy, and Clovis would somehow get stranded/imprisoned with Magda at the end, but I was wrong about those things.

interesting ending

I love Kevin J Anderson’s fantasy books. I really cared about the characters and his world building is just mind boggling. The ONLY one thing I didn’t like was the performer made some females with this highly annoying high pitched voices. If she’s a young girl or young lady, they sound they same, high pitched voice and some strange accent that no one else has. Queen Penda’s father has this thick Scottish brogue, but her accent is undefinable. After 3 books, listening back to back that small annoyance turns ugly and I have to make a comment. Otherwise, perfect listening, it’s a PG-13 kind of book. You can get away with listening to this with your parents, but kids might ask awkward questions.

Truly enjoyable will listen over & over

Great fantasy series! I enjoyed it, the story kept to it's original purpose, and it wasn't to heavy or to light just the right amount of world building, history and character buildup.

A New Favorite!

I am so thankful the book did not end after the dramatic climax. I always love to hear what happens next.

This is a third class book, story is slow, empty and tries to pick up with few exciting points but falls short. I would only recommend it if people have nothing else to listen to
