Publisher's summary

Virginia Constance Kramer is a good girl. Until she meets the man that makes her want to be bad....

He’s got a record; she’s never been so much as grounded.

His old man is a convict; her dad is the police sergeant.

He’s seen too much darkness; she can barely see out of the stained-glass curtain the world wants her to hide behind.

She’s willing to fight her parents, the town, and the whole world if she has to, but first she has to get past the wall Joe Franklin has built around his heart. He thinks she’s too good, too sweet, too pure for a man like him.

She thinks being good is overrated.

Author confession: This is a slower burn romance than you might be used to from me, but I promise Virginia and Joe are supercouple material. It’s the classic opposites attract, good girl/bad boy, other side of the tracks, her first time tropey goodness you need in your life. You know how sometimes it feels like nobody sees the real you? Well Joe really sees Ginny. He may be rough on the exterior, but he’s the only one who understands how much pain she’s in as her family grieves the death of her little sister. Watch him grow into an alphamallow right before your eyes.

Good Book!

Slow burn Romance with a HEA! This was a good story. Really enjoyed it! Even though it’s a slow burn-
It didn’t drag the story line down at all. It had a great pace to it!

❤️

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Make sure to keep tissues handy! The narrator did a great job as well- I’ll definitely be listening to more of her work.

I received this audiobook for free at my own request and have this review voluntarily.

Great Read

Good Girl was a great read by Brill Harper. Virginia is a good girl who meets the bad boy. He has a record and her dad's the police sergeant. Joe tries pushing her away but she doesn't allow him to. I loved reading Virginia and Joe's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

All the feels from this emotional slow burn

This book!! SOOOOO GOOOOOD. I usually hate slow burns but the journey added so much to the story and it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I fell in love with the characters and definitely had to keep those tissues handy.

Great, quick listen!

I loved this story! The classic good girl falls for bad boy romance. I loved the character development. I ended up really liking the bad boy by the end as well and loved how despite being bad, he was actually a very deep and caring guy. The narrator was very enjoyable as well! I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

More emotion

Not your typical Brill Harper Book. Definitely more emotion and plot. I really enjoyed it.

Blown Away and Surprised at how GOOD it is!

First listen to both this author and narrator. I just love when I’m taken by surprise by how much I enjoy a new to me author and/or voice artist. First let me say that the characters were soooo likable that I just wanted to smoosh them together. The info on secondaries was slim and their backgrounds almost non existent so it could have been better by enhancing both, but, geez... I still loved it!
Raven did an awesome superb job. Only complaint was occasional monotone deliveries.

I was gifted this audiobook and have freely left my honest opinion.

👍🏻 Thumb Up cuz I ❤️ it!

Loved the Good Girl

What a great story. I felt like I wasn’t just listening to a story but watching it. Virginia and Joe’s individual struggles with grief was tear jerking for me, but that’s just me. Raven did a wonderful job narrating. I would reread this or listen to it again and recommend it to anyone who loves a good love story. Keep them coming Brill Harper!

Great Story & Narration🎧 Emotional & Heartfelt!

This is a great slow burn romance, it is well written and well told with interesting storylines that grab your attention from the start and holds it to the end. The characters are complex and well developed, they are likable and relatable. Both leads have their own issues, broken in one way or another. Virginia, a HS senior, has had her share of heartache, the loss of a loved one and then then her parents separation. Virginia continues to live with her father in order to finish school. Her father buries himself in work and basically leaves her on her own. She starts to do things that she normally would not do, things that could get her in trouble and/or bring attention to herself but she gets set straight by an unlikely ally. Virginia has met Joe while he was doing a mural for the school, a community service. He has a dark past, a criminal record and is ashamed of his criminal father whom he fears he will take after. Virginia is drawn to him, but he pushes her away. I liked these two together, she was good for him and he for her. But he has a wall around his heart and believes he is bad to the bone and not worthy of her. She does not see him like that she only sees the goodness in him. I liked how their story played out, so many emotions, plus drama, angst and the build up to a wonderful romance. I loved the ending, also loved when Virginia stood up to father, she finally grew into her own person and Joe stood by her side, knowing he was worthy of her and claiming what he deserves, to be loved. Thank you Brill Harper for another great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, Raven is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings these charters to life, gives each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She did a great job projecting the emotions of the characters, as well as the drama of the story, into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧
