Publisher's summary

I fell in love with him when I was 13 years old.

He was older, mysterious, and unattainable. The guy I could never touch.

Then one night changed everything for us. But there was one huge problem.

He belonged to her.

Contains mature themes.

Good Story, Fair Narration

I really enjoyed the story but I was disappointed with the narrators. In my opinion. I felt that Nelson Hobbs did a good job narrating the book for the most part. However it sounded like Stephanie Wyles was reading a script instead of without narrating the emotional turmoil of the story. Worth checking out and making your own decisions about whether the narrators work for you.

Drawn out love story

I enjoyed the characters but wish it didn’t take them a decade to realize what they wanted. Not an overly spicy book but it still packed some heat. I started this book because I was looking for a series- but I think I’m stopping here at this one. Knowing the next book is the love story between a teen and a man double her age.. there’s other ways I’d want to read about foreign love than with a mix of pedophilia.

Wow. Just wow.

If you are debating reading this book, I really hope that you do. I wasn’t sure I would be able to listen to the female narrators voice but after a little bit it wasn’t so bad. The story was well told and sad. The things kids in foster care go through is absolutely heart breaking. I thought I was happy with the the ending until the 2nd epilogue then tears were streaming down.

Heartfelt Story - Emotional and Uplifting

The story is a heartstring puller on the inefficiency of the foster care system and the abhorrent abuse that is rampant within the broken system. It also is of hope and perseverance. But the female narrators monotone voice is annoying and at times makes it a hard listen.

This book did not hit the mark

I HATE when authors tell me instead of showing me. So the hero writes this letter and it wasn’t shared with the reader… ugh!!! I’ll never read this author again

Loved Every Second of this Audiobook!

The narrators were perfect for Everett and River! I highly recommend this novel and audiobook as it is one of the most beautiful and well-written stories I’ve ever read! I hope The Truth About Tomorrow will receive its own audio as well!

It's a great book, I'm sure.

This book is a great book in every aspect. For me though without giving anything away it was hard to transition from the sadness, and the somber undertone to the journey of fulfillment and happiness for the main character.

A love story that takes you on a journey

The characters were well developed and the conflicts were relatable. It was a little bit of a slow burn, that made you fall in love with the characters.

Not outstanding but interesting

This was a decent read. I loved the characters in it, and how the leads had been in love since they met. Everett’s reasons for staying with Izzy so long were a little flimsy though.
