About this listen

Audrey Adams would do anything for her aunt Ernestine. When Ernestine suffers a stroke, Audrey takes a leave from her fast-track CPA career to care for her. Only Ernestine’s hobby farm needs more tending than the patient herself. Audrey’s bitten off way more than she can chew, or harvest, or plant, or...how does one do hobby farming, anyway?

Enter her neighbor Rowan Marshall, the sexy cider maker. Rowan’s only too happy to come to Audrey’s rescue. Which is all well and good until Audrey realizes Rowan’s angling to buy the orchard that makes up more than half of Ernestine’s pride and joy. It’s not long before a reluctant truce gives way to a romantic spark and forces Audrey to make the biggest decision of her life.

Loved it!

Aurora Rey pushes boundaries with lighthearted banter and it works. Honestly it would make a good TV series.

Finding the place you belong

Rey starts with a funny cute-meet and once again delivers a sweet with a bit of steamy Butch/Femme slow-burn romance. Keira Grace does a great job with the narration. Oh...and there are baby goats!

The Goats..

I have been looking forward to this story for a while and so pleased the audio was released easily. Super cute romance, loved the mention and appearances of people and places from other books, The combination of Aurora Rey and Keira Grace never disappoints. Audrey words in the book 🔥. I’ll leave it there. Looking forward to Dylan story next.

Love the Connections!

Loved the story and I especially loved how it connects others places from others stories like Fig and Bake My Day creating this awesome little world. However, needed or not the sadness that was wrapped up in the happy was definitely heartbreaking

fun story

I always enjoy books by Aurora Rey and this was no different. I wish I had chosen the print version because it was full of great lines that were lost in the narration. Save some money and read the book. You will enjoy it.

The narrator brings this down

I think the story was okay, but am unsure how good it was because the narration was subpar.

There was no inflection. If something was said sarcastically you wouldn’t know until you heard “she said sarcastically”. It felt like listening to a monotone robot that just happened to change voices yet inflection always remained the same.

Bad Narration

Radclilyffe stories are always good. This book is really hard to listen to because the narrator is the worst. Its almost as if I was listening to a bad robot

No Grace Notes

Robocall narration made for an excruciating listen. An uncomfortable pairing of narrator and author. No grace notes here.
