I always felt I wasn’t wired like my peers, but when my brother, Kellan, gave me three terms - ace, aromantic, and demi - I had possible names for it. Kellan’s afraid I’ll hurt Griff. Frankly, I am, too. My past is still an open wound that keeps me from getting too close.

One thing is becoming clear, though - my Grumpy Griff is making me break my own rules. He says he’s never known his place in the world, but I do. It’s with me. The only way for us to move forward is for me to stop looking back...before I lose sight of him for good.

This was my tbr list for a long, long time. Im so glad i read/listened to it! The last in the series it wraps up events and does a good job of treating Griff &Josh's relationship. I liked the way the whole question of labeling sexual preferences was discussed.
Kale Williams does a WONDERFUL job with voices, mood, etc. He gets Riley Hart!

This story broke my heart in so many pieces, though it was something that needed to happen. Thank you Riley Hart! I hope you bring back sometime not so far in the distance future the characters of Havenwood.

This was such an endearing story. It’s hard for me to put it in words. I Loved It! I was not prepared for the last hour. Get your Kleenex ready. You will need it. It tore me open then put me back in the best possible way. Griff and Josh deserved every ounce of their HEA. It has become apart of my top 5 to rave about. Do not hesitate. Listen to it, it’s so maturely written. Did I mention it’s also very Hot. You can thank me later ;)

I loved this love story! They both were so different yet seemed to be made for each other. I cried and and laughed and whimpered . omg what a roller coaster ride. This book was 10 stars.

wow Kale Williams was just perfection for this entire series. His voices for this large cast of characters was distinct and so consistent across all 4 books. So well done!
All the stars for this book, it was exceptional!!! I could not put it down. I have been waiting for Griff's story ever since book 1 and this was everything I was hoping for and more. Griff and Josh's story was amazing! It was filled with so much feeling, so much emotion, and so much love. They both had things they needed to come to terms with to really and truly commit to each other. Their journey to get there was just so well done. They really talked to each other and opened up...the dialogue was excellent. Their times in the bedroom had such a deep level of intimacy and were also absolutely smoking hot. I just love how Riley Hart weaves conversation and reality into those scenes, it makes them so much better...and can you say dirty talk? It was off the charts here!
I also just loved how these friends and brothers and extended family were all there for each other. There were so many really nice scenes between them that just made me smile and warmed my heart! Riley Hart created this wonderful town of Havenwood, filled with people I came to know and love. I really recommend reading this series in order as each book just builds more and more on this wonderful, extended family. I am really sad to have to say goodbye, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit!!

I have loved my time in Havenwood. This group of men have become special to me, and I’m sad to see the series end. I was especially looking forward to this book. Grumpy Griff is a staple in town. After his parents’ sudden death, he came home from college to look after his brother. And he’s continued to do that, even opening a bar so he could stay close to home. But Kellen found love. All of Griff’s gay friends have. And what does Griff have? A bar, a bit of loneliness, and his friend Josh. Josh who hooks up with a different guy practically every night. A guy whose Grindr app pings continuously. A guy who has his own secrets for why he doesn’t settle down.

The banter and faux animosity between the two men in the previous books caught my attention and I knew they were going to get together. But how would that work? A guy who loves sex and a guy who doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about. Griff’s brother bandied about terms like asexual, aromantic, and demi-sexual, but Griff’s not sure any apply to him. Or maybe they all do.

One weekend alone in a cabin in the woods leaves the men seeing a very different side of the other.

Josh’s backstory is tragic, to be sure, but Griff presents him with an opportunity to face it, deal with it, and move on from it. Having that kind of supportive friend means everything. But there are bumps to be sure. A couple of times I wanted to smack Josh upside the head. But he came around in the end, able to acknowledge not only his feelings for Griffin, but that maybe the past was best left there.

And, of course, there was the epilogue. Seeing all the men together, happy, with some major changes in some of their lives. The truth of time marching forward. I’m so grateful Ms. Hart gave me this lovely series. And I’m also happy Kale Williams narrated these books. He does Southern very well, and is just pleasant to listen to. Another great book.
