Lorenzo Moretti and Damon Blackwell have never met, but they're tied together by the same tragedy. They were both there that night. They each lost someone they loved. They've been living as shells of their former selves ever since. Running into each other and realizing their shared pasts? Pure serendipity.
Being together is a tingle at the base of Enzo's spine, a comfort that settles into Damon's bones. No one understands what they went through the night the club caught fire - until now. For the first time, they have someone to lean on, someone who knows all the right things to say and when to say nothing at all. Neither of them has been with another man before, but their shared connection grows from friendship and explodes into something more, something raw and desperate and real. Now, they're dealing not only with their pasts, but their new relationship, the one thing that calms their internal storms.
Enzo and Damon might not know much else, but with every touch, with every word, and every night spent exploring each other's bodies, they know they're in love. They keep each other going, show each other what happiness really is.
But love alone can't get them through. Damon and Enzo must decide if they really have what it takes to work through their trauma and fight for the happily ever after that's waiting just on the horizon.

Enzo and Damon are wow.

My issue is that it seems to just go on and on with no resolve or pick up in the plot. it all just seemed to drag on.
Michael Dean did a good job with this narration (sometimes he can be too much).
Not a bad story, just not a good one.

As I mentioned, this was in my Top reads of 2019, so much so my friends probably got tired of me bringing it up! Damon and Enzo’s story evoked so many emotions in me and I knew that it was a story I found the time to re-read again, or in this case picking up the audio. First time, Out for You is one of my very favorite tropes because of all the emotions involved with the characters. With both Enzo and Damon having never been with a man before, these emotions were heightened into so much more for me. The way they just clicked from the first moment they met, and as they evolved from friendship to lovers to family just grabbed at my heartstrings. They each had suffered such a tragic and emotional loss that only the other could understand. The way they were each other’s support structure helped each of them find a way to manage their grief and begin to feel and BE again. Their story pulled so many emotions in me and I found myself smiling, laughing, crying a bit, and overall just feeling so swoony over these beautiful men who found each other in their darkest hour. I couldn’t recommend their story more, whether you pick up the book or audio.
LOVED it!!

Story: I love, love, love this story. It’s a bi-awakening for both guys and is so incredibly romantic. Enzo and Damon connect over shared grief from the loss of a sibling and grow close very fast. It was sweet watching them become friends and then more. While the guys do deal with some confusion around how they feel for each other (especially Enzo), the focus is more on their love and how they go about building a life together. My heart broke for what these guys experienced and go through, but it was heartwarming to see them love and support each other. The conflict comes from outside their relationship and there is a very happy HEA. I can’t recommend this book enough; it’s a great place to start if you’ve never read one of Riley’s books before.
CW: This story explores grief and tough family dynamics.
Fantastic narration of a beautiful love story!

This is an emotionally charged story. Both MCs have been “existing” instead of living after experiencing a tragedy that resulted in both losing their sibling. It is heartbreaking to read how the loss has affected them and their families.
The tentative friendship grew into a strong bond, Enzo and Damon became the best of friends. Leaned on to each other. It didn’t take much for the friendship to grow into something more. But what if Enzo and Damon have always been straight? Never even thought of being with a man.
Hurt/Comfort. Friends to lovers. Family dynamics. Ms. Hart’s words. Michael Pauley’s voice. All perfect ingredients for an excellent audio book!!!
Listen to this. Fall in love with Enzo and Damon. You won’t regret it!
Endless love for this book!
