poor climax

good series over all. I really enjoyed the story but with such a build up it ends flatlly and prematurely. alot of the questions aren't answerd. it's also wierd that he writes a harem series with a main character that has incredibly poor performance in the bedroom compared to others of the genere; it kind of ruins the fantasy in that aspect. for an op character he really fails to take advantage of it, not only as character which would be ok. they got to have some flaws. but the finale, especially for op characters is where they go crazy god mode or at least reach crazy new hights of awesomeness. for this being a 5 book decent series I could probably write a book about how weak the book was ended dare I say boring. I read All this books in about a week and had other complaints but I can't remember them. like I said over all good series when your between books and need a break from favorites but the ending matters and not one I'll read over and over again

A1 story must read

Absolutely phenomenal story. only issue is misuse of words routine instead of retinue in the audiobook.

great start, horrible end

great start, then everything feels rushed and incomplete. even in the last book the author builds it to be more then just ends it

Epic

I listen to hundreds of hours of audiobooks and I can say without question my favorite fantasy read ever. And an insane deal for one credit. Loved the story, the characters, the action and the sex. Incredibly well narrated with diverse characters. Loved every minute!

Simply a cult classic in the making.

Great performance, though why end the story there…

I feel Gryff the emperor could have gotten involved in politics.

it's okay. worth a credit.

I think the first two books were great.. but then all of a sudden, the main "dangerous situation" is over.

end of book 3... he's too strong so need to basically do a restart with book 4.

if there was a book 6 or takes about what happened after he gets home, I would listen to it FWIW.

but the main character is... annoying... "I want one wife only"... had 26? arrives and lots of kids, the majority of whom are paper characters with little story. except in book 1-2.

In the end I submit

Ok so I’m not the type to hate on peoples hard work and long hours away from their families and loved ones so I won’t. Like a few others I was tempted to this series by the amazing deal of 70+ hours of content for a single credit. Regardless of my thoughts on the story this a great deal. Compared to the last 4 or 5 harem litrpg’s I’ve read (rise of the weakest summoner, Nosforatu Academy, Elemental Summoner, to quickly name a few) this one falls far short. I think the biggest issue I had was the mc himself. I don’t mind a little arrogance. It’s even to be expected sometimes in all powerful beings surrounded by beauties but this is a bit different. Griff is beyond “flawed” he’s a complete mess. With an unstable personality, little love for his “wives”, and child-like temper tantrums he brings the overall story to a screeching halt. Those of you praising this tale so much hopefully just don’t have much experience in this genre as there are books out there that even though are “harem” oriented are really great stories with fantastic love affairs and great character and world development. I guess this one just wasn’t for me. I just needed something with a bit more. Saying that though, it still really is a great deal for what you get. Best of luck to you all and happy reading!

I can't recommend.

Okay, so I was pretty excited by this story in the beginning. It was a super interesting premise. I loved how driven the main character was, and it felt like it was going good. Until it wasn't.
The main character goes from this bright eyed bushy tailed man with a new chance at life and then BAM! Out of nowhere he becomes the epitome of "Giga Chad." He was only missing his Subaru on his adventures of trying to impregnate everything that has a uterus in the galaxy. Then all of these one dimensional women who only care about making babies before sending him on his next adventure. Some of which are billions of years old. I find it terribly difficult to express in words how bad it gets. I missed a few hours of book three going off into daydreams about ways I'd have preferred the main character to of died in parts of the story.

Like in the description there are indeed sex scenes in these books. Which normally is fine. I like a good erotic scene as much as the next gal but my god... The best way I can describe them is if a fifteen year old boy tried to recite a really bad porno clip into erotica format. The male reader has such an amazing voice, but it was wasted on this. I swear if I hear another grown man say boner any time soon I may slap them out of reflex.

Book four seems like there was an attempt to redeem the main character by completely taking away the rest of the previous stories, and I'll admit it does get better. Although; by the end of book five I think the author got frustrated and gave up. Totally rushing the ending.

At the end of the day, I gave it a chance all the way through. I wouldn't recommend this title to anybody, and I feel like I'd of been better off giving it up earlier.
