About this listen

One great series in a single offering!

Daxas has established his dungeon in the Proving Grounds and incorporated two more into his sphere of influence. But his expansion and rule-breaking doesn't end there.

His successes have been impressive, but thus far, he has been competing against the other minnows in the Proving Grounds. Other, grander forces, have taken notice and the interfering Divine Lords continue in their campaign to see Daxas destroyed.

Daxas will have to think bigger, fighter harder, and cheat in ever more inventive ways if he and his growing pool of desirable disciples are to emerge victorious.

It is a good build of characters and the story gets more interesting per chapter and book

Well thought

Well I liked it till the last book. When the main baddy saw what was suppost to happen I lost interest. I just just skipped over hours of the story cause any interest I had in how the MC was going to fight the fight was gone. Also the way it finally ended was a let down. Even if it leaves it open to maybe start up again.

The actual story isn't even that bad. I enjoyed some of the alpha wolf moments, but the author just had to insist on making him a complete pushover in other areas, specifically with his "harem." In fact the book had potential until the harem aspect comes to light. The scenes with just one girl and the mc are great, but when they all are together, it quickly devolves into a horny highschool student who watches too much porn and gets cucked, while giggling in the corner jerking himself off while two girls kiss, would think a harem should be. it's frustrating because the entire genre is getting saturated with authors who confuse a harem, with a polyamorous relationship. I get it, some guys like the idea of their woman being pleasured by someone who isn't them, but I'm not into that. So if you're like me, and aren't into that whole everyone in the "harem" has sex with each other instead of the mc manning up and trying his utmost to take care of his women, then do yourself a favor and read something else. Gryph the gryphon rider by Marcos sloss is great, and son of the hero king are two great examples of how a harem should be.

An honest effort but falls short

I had a Dungeon Core itch, and this fit the bill perfectly. I love stories where the main character might be inconvinenced, and though they might complain about it a tad, they look for ways to game the system they find themselves in. Literally.

This was a great listen, and both the voice actors did a great job.

Please note, sex scenes abound, so if you are not looking for those, stay away. I felt that each one was unique (a must in this kind of story), ensuring that the reader was not bogged down in repetitive items. Look forward to the next series by this author!

What a ride.

the last book was kind of a slog for me not gonna lie, it was wayyy 2 long. i get the want for the last battle and all, but really? the whole book? it just felt drawned out. it wasn't bad per say, but i just lost attention until the last 2-3hours.

Johnathan waters did an incredible job portraying daxus and all the other male characters with many different voices. The story line was really nice and paced well. This is the first time I’ve read a lot harem rpg book from the perspective of the dungeon and I see it as a welcome change. He(daxus) faced many different challenges thought the books that kept me engaged. The sec scenes were nice too. I wish the female voice out a bit more expression into the voices as it felt like she was just reading from a page and not actually acting out the scenes

The great story and many voices
