About this listen

Every day, people innocently acquire ordinary personal and household items that secretly come with spirit attachments, demonic forces, residues of the dead, and curses. They are shocked when the haunted objects create a paranormal nightmare.

For decades, John Zaffis, star of Haunted Collector on SyFy, has helped victims of terrifying spirit invasions that began with dolls, toys, clothing, games, art, antiques, furniture, jewelry, and musical instruments. His Museum of the Paranormal houses the strangest collection of haunted items on the planet.

In this audiobook, John Zaffis and Rosemary Ellen Guiley, the two biggest names in paranormal expertise, examine John’s most frightening cases of haunted objects. These stories will make you think twice about every single item you own.

Enjoyed listening to Brian J. Cano's narration of the hauntings investigated by John Zaffis. Full disclosure I am lucky enough to consider both of them friends. I liked Brian's change of voice/inflection for the various "characters." John's experiences with the paranormal and haunted objects is fascinating. Hoping I will not become a future client.

Enjoyed listening to these fascinating stories

The material is pretty interesting in itself, but I find the tone of the writing slightly self-congratulatory and didactic about things that many people see as matters of belief or interpretation. Also, I’m sorry, but a talented voice-actor Mr Cano is not, although he does a very good John Zaffis imitation.

The narrator was horrible and distracting. Great story, but it was ruined by the narrator.

Narration made it difficult to listen too

I noticed in nearly every chapter there is a word, partial and sometimes complete sentences that would repeat multiple times before moving on. Without a doubt more repeats than can be chocked up to dramatic narration. Otherwise an OK book. Lots of references to other books for detailed accounts of the best case examples documented which was frustrating.

Tech issues; read back seems to get "stuck"

First, Brian Cano did a great job narrating. I like the stories presented as cases. As an empath & psychic Intuitive, I enjoyed the information on protection, clearing objects, etc.

I found this book to be better than the first Zaffis book, which I felt was a little out there and self serving. But this one is more true to his show where it covers ordinary people who encounter extraordinary items. Narrator is good at his Zaffis impersonation. There are other times he sounds like Keanu Reeves. Overall, it's an entertaining book.

Better than his first book
