I don't remember when I purchased this book but I know it was right after being diagnosed with invassave ductal cell carcinoma 99%estrogen positive her2...point being I wanted a plan and some answers. The bad thing is I didn't know how to listen to the audio on my phone so a year went by...I downloaded an audio app and there was your book! I am so thankful to Jesus , not only for saving my soul but for guiding me through this healing journey. As I listened to all the studies you quoted, and (you did a great job), all the methods that worked for people from different ideologies I was so encouraged! Because the principles that worked for people were things God's been teaching us through his word. My daughter reminded me that everyone spoke the same language at the tower of Babel so when God confounded their language and they went in different ways they all took knowledge of God and the teachings they had known with them. Truth is still truth, even when we don't recognize where it came from. It was just so great they way you stated the evidence behind what works and what's harmful because I could look back to what God had been teaching our family for several yrs now. Thank you for sharing your hurts from your past, it helped me so much. I had forgiven my mom, but had allowed myself to dwell in past pain, especially when current incidences happen. I looked up and saw hanging there on my wall the scripture my daughter had embroidered for me, Philippians 4:8...You may know that it ends with this "If there be any virture, if there be any praise, think on these things! I had an Aha moment, as she gave that to me right after my diagnosis. That night as I read my bible my eyes saw this..." For godly grief produces repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death." I had been feeling guilty for many things that were not in my power to change and certainly not things that God was asking me to repent of. Thank you again this book was really full of great information, really helpful I've already recommended it to several people. Interestingly I had had 5 catscans in the couple yrs preceding my diagnosis and my difficult person had decided to come live beside us 7 months before.
