Really good book

I was really impressed with how she told her story after the loss of her son and how she gave suggestions on how to deal with grief after losing a child. Would recommend this book to others.

Repetative

The author is using the phrase “ you are not alone”…way too much. I talked to a lot parents who felt very lonely. The counselors were not helpful and not trained to help with grief of losing a child. The stages of grief is something I don’t agree. Denial… hmmm the death of my son hit me like a freight train.. there was no denial but horrendous despair and realization my son was gone. Friends? There are none around when you in deep grief. I disagree that you should “ reach out” to people when your mind is gone and your world collapsed. It would be nice to see other reach out to us, broken souls. For me this book was repetition of everything I read before . Did not resonate with my experience
