About this listen

"Elsie Silver's writing is a true revelation!" ALI HAZELWOOD

---

Grumpy cowboys and steamy romance . . . Welcome to Chestnut Springs: the big-hitting, small-town series from TikTok sensation Elsie Silver. Perfect for fans of Devney Perry, Lucy Score and B.K. Borison.

Working as a nanny for the world's grumpiest single dad should have been simple.
Except I can't keep my eyes off him. And he can't keep his hands off of me.

Cade Eaton is thirteen years older than me and barely looks my way. Until I get him in the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off - and so are our clothes.

He's gruff, a little rough around the edges, and it turns out broad-shouldered ranchers with filthy mouths are this city girl's kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

But in our quiet moments together, he softens, and I start to realise his hardened exterior is just a façade. Someone once convinced him that his best wasn't good enough. Yet I've never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.

My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months .

But my heart says this is forever.

Heartless

Ending was very predictable, I wish the whole book was dual narration. Otherwise a good listen and cute storyline.

My favorite of the Chestnut Springs series- yet!

My heart. Oh my heart. This is my favorite, yet, in the Chestnut Springs series!

Willa and Cade were perfect. I mean, perfect! How the banter and jokes, the sarcasm and humor, all the grumpiness and sunshine was thrilling and I absolutely loved this so much.

Cade is a single dad and has a 5 year old son named Luke. He needs help with him for the summer and hasn’t found someone he could trust to take care of his son. Enters, Willa. She was a blast! Did she have experience taking care of a child? No, but was she perfect? Absolutely. The relationship between Willa and Luke was the most wholesome and heartwarming aspect of this book. Truly, so beautiful to read how their relationship evolved and how much they loved each other. When Cade witnessed how good Willa was for Luke he slowly let his grumpy walls down and let her in. He fell in love with her because she loved his son- precious, absolutely precious!

Cade and Willa were so much fun to read about. The banter, the opposites attracts were hundred percent true in their case! I loved the tension and how Willa’s use of humor made Cade relax and actually enjoy himself rather than being the grumpy and responsible grown up all the time- which was his default mode. We also love him for it. It was absolutely delicious when they finally gave in to the lust and attraction they had for each other- and Cade has a moth on him! I loved how tender and sweet he was with his son and how ruthless he was with anyone that tried to uproot his peace. When he also gave into his feelings for Willa, you could just see how wrong everyone was about him. He has the biggest heart and loves so deeply.

Willa was a breath of fresh air! She was hilarious, happy and a free spirit which brought so much joy and love to Cade and Luke’s lives, but also the extended family. She truly was the missing piece.

I also have to say that the epilogue absolutely broke me- in the best way! Luke had my heart! He’s the mvp of this book. So sweet, tender and a thoughtful kid. The epilogue made me cry.

I’m so happy for how this book ended and how good the communication was and how patient they were with each other. this was simply lovely and just perfect!

Daddy Cade has my Heart!

Loved every bit of this book. The story, the characters, the humor, the trope. This book takes the cake in the Chestnut Springs series. Cade Eaton is perfection.
